I believe from reading this and the way i feel that i am going through withdrawal from Ropinirole. Someone here suggested that i was and i read about it and i did not think i was due to the fact that i was getting some relief from C/L . I could not take any more after what i went through yesterday. From the time i got up to the time i went to bed i had pain, crying, anger, i had the sweats, chills, hot flashes,i could not sleep, my legs got weak, i could not walk. I was short with my wife. I have lost 25 pounds in the last month because i would not eat. If i ate anything my meds would not work as long as they had been. A few time i ate a large meal and my meds did not work for 6 to 8 hours. I think this all due to me stopping Ropinrole. I am going to speak to him today and i will let you know what happens.

I’m so sorry 😐

I don’t know what you’re going through that I know that I have combined medical issues, Parkinson’s, chronic back pain from arthritis and skin cancer and sometimes I feel like I’m being tortured.

If you ever need to talk to somebody hit me up❤️

Good morning joy-love-magic

Thank for you concern. I am one of the lucky ones. I only have Parkinson's. I don't know what i would do if i had other things to deal with. Everyone in my family is stable except one of my brothers and all i have to do is get him food and see he goes to the doctor and i help keep his house up and running. is I don't even have tremor which is the worst symptom of all as far as i can tell. After 12 years with i am ready for it to stabilize a little it seems to be ever changing.

Have a good day mine has started off good and i hope it stays that way.

My doctor uses Mychart. It is great i can write him a letter any time to inform him of how i am doing. The nurses read them and put them in my file and relate them to the doctor if they think he needs to see them.

This what i wrote to my Doctor this morning.

After i wrote the last letters i was going through hell. I was having a panic attack my shirt was soaking wet in the back, i started to feel sad and started to cry. I was able to control that. I was having hot flashes my legs started to sweat i was cold on my back and hot on my legs. I was antsy my legs were weak. my legs feet arms were hurting a lot maybe a 7 out of 10 I took 1 50/200 er C/L 3 25/100 C/L 1 6 mg Ropinirole. In about an hour i was doing great so i went to bed at about midnight and slept till 4 am. When i got up took 1 50/200 er C/l and 3 25/100 C/L I have felt good all morning except for a slight upset stomach. This is the first time in 3 weeks i have not had the cold sweats and hot flashes ,pain ,weakness in my legs when my meds are do. The only difference is i took the Ropinirole last. I wood like to taper off the Ropinirole.

I would be available anytime for an appointment.

When the C/L is working i am not aware of any PD symptoms i do whatever i like.

All the best Bailey. I dont want to be gloomy but 16 mg, which i have been on, is alot and it will take time to cut back. even if you decreased by 2mg every couple of weeks that would be more manageable. I went down to 8 mg.

Some people with compulsive problems find they can take a small amount of agonist but some have to stop it all together

Just read your latest post a d see you are going to stay on ropinerole, which I totally understand but I would encourage you to consider very very slowly decreasing and as i said you may be ok on a smaller dose

So sorry you are having such difficulty withdrawing from Ropinirole. Why are you going off of it in the first place? Obvs, you don't have to answer my question, but I'm curious...
