Yes it is. I got a £45 one off the internet. I use it more in winter when I can cycle in a cold place. Otherwise I use a normal bike (or go for a run, but I appreciate most here can't do that). I usually watch something educational or amusing when I am cycling. Try and set yourself a target in time and/or distance to achieve. You should aim for about 45 minutes when you can.

YES especially in winter when roads are snow covered or during violent rain storms or in the middle of the night or if you don't know how far you can peddle or you have too be home to watch the grand-kids. Any exercise is good . Bike takes the weight off the knees while still getting the heart rate up and stationary bike also involves the arms . Mine sits where when I open the back door I can see out and breath fresh air while listening to a radio and on a nice evening when it will be soon too dark to bicycle, I drag it out onto the patio.

Easy to find second hand on internet and garage sales.

PS getting my heart rate up is easier then on my adult size 3-wheel bike because I can set the drag on the wheel and I can still use it even if my toes have curled . No matter what your main exercise is this is a good standby when everything else is inconvenient .GOOD investment

Absolutely! But you must get your heart rate and respiratory rate up!

Hi Tilly. All exercise is good for Pd. BUT! it is not weight-bearing exercise and as such is not as good as walking. If you really can't convince yourself to start serious walking then do the execise on the bike at your highest rate.
