I worked out side at my son's house the last 2 days. we removed 40 feet of metal pipe fence. we installed 50 ft off 4 x 4 hog wire fence with 5 poles and one gate. I worked 14 hours. I did not have any symptoms for 2 days and i slept 5.5 hours nonstop one night and 7.5 hours nonstop the next night. When i woke up both mornings i was stiff but otherwise i feel okay. I was dreaming strange dreams tonight and could not stay asleep so here i am writing i have slept 3 hours so far tonight. i worked hard nonstop 7 hours each day. I think that is why i have felt so good the last couple of days.

Gabapentin is the new med only 2 weeks so far. Works great for pain but makes me sleepy.

my meds

600 mg gabapentin 300 morning 300 late after noon

3 25/100 cl and 150/200 24 hour release every 4 hours

600 mg ibuprofen as needed

1 6 mg ropinirole a day. was off it for a week but would wake up stiff as a board now i have very little stiffness.

You can see the new fence and the gate in the image. In the background you can see where we had the bonfire the little structure is the bar. The fire was so hot all the beer bottles melted.

Just wonder, why and when do you take ibuprofen? You've mentioned in previous posts that you've been experiencing great pain relief with gabapentin alone.

When i do work in the the yard or work all day on lawn mowers. The gabapendin is more for the pd pain i had during off times and the pain and numbness in my feet. it has almost stopped all of it.

Bailey, i'll bet you are happier than you feel you should be. Well I think you earned the right to feel any way you choose to feel. Bye the way do you think that having the goal and knowing that you were going to achieve it, helped your body produce the extra dopamine that it needed? If true, Would that be a great workaround for what ails us?

Goals are good but just doing a physical thing like walking, running, working in the yard. Anything that keeps your mind and body busy will help you get through the day. If i keep busy i may have down time but i don't know it

When I work hard, entertain, socialize or exercise, I have no or just minor symptoms.. You have to be busy and preoccupied with doing things, one after another constantly... This is the Key part of the treatment protocol, not the pharma junk…

All forms of excercises are good for the mind and body.God Bless.

All that exercise, it creates dopamine and makes you feel better. Now, I have a list of things that need doing around my house....

Happy news! Nature can do a lot of healing through outdoor activities.

Just FYI, I've found great pain relief in taking just 300 mg one hour before getting eye injections for macular degeneration. It also acts as a tranquilizer for me, so I don't drive when I take it. I mention it just because there are other uses for gabapentin, other than for Parkinson's. I hope this can be of some use to someone.
