# My impression: citicoline ashwaganda rosemary bacopa monniera
## Today I tried using citicoline instead of cholinergic herbs - while continuing 25/100 and amantadine. By noon I realized that citicoline was not sufficiently boosting my motor function.
## I managed to arise from chair and ingest a bacopa capsule and half a 25/100. Twenty minutes later I was functional again.
## Conclusion: For MY pd the cholinergic herbs are more helpful in augmenting my traditional pd meds.
## My PD is mixed but with a strong element of PIGD.
Is PIGD a legitimate motor subtype in Parkinson disease?
I have been taking citicoline for about a week and a half - two weeks. Have not noticed any difference. Been taking a capsule each time that I take sinemet CR. So you think that bacopa does that good of a job? How much are you taking? I was really hoping the citicoline would help. Mary
For me rosemary has strongest boost, followed by ashwaganda, with bacopa milder. (each with regard to my motor function and postural instability and gait).
My other half has been taking ashwagandha capsules for a couple of years. I intend to order some type of Bacopa & I have just started massaging him with rosemary essential oil (purely because I had some here and thought I may as well use it). Too soon to tell if it's having an effect. Will probably order some rosemary capsules as well. Really hope the combination will help Glen's motor function, postural instability & gait.
For me, the rosemary oil worked wonders on pain. However I never diluted it and I used it a lot. So after a long time I became sensitized to it and my hands started to break out. So I can use it as long as I dilute it with something.
When i first tried citicoline, it worked quite well on my postural, arising, and walking issues. Balance was improved. Those effects have seemed to diminish, but I wonder: did my body have some residual nutrients that became depleted as citicoline ingestion continued? Is there a better timing for ingesting citicoline inthe context of my other PD meds? I'm still wondering, why did citicoline work as anticipated at first?
I had not heard of rosemary for Parkinson's. I have a huge bush of it growing right on the grounds. Will get some of the capsules on order. Thanks, aspergerian, for the mention
