Sinemet makes me sleepy

Does anyone find that Sinemet makes them very tired and want to sleep as soon as i t kicks in so I have to force myself to get something to eat and something to do

After sinemet, my husband slept as if he'd been given an anaesthetic. OK on Carbilev.

By "carbilev" do you mean carbidopa/levodopa? This is simply the generic of Sinemet.

Not sure if they are the same. He was all right on Carbilev from Day One but he slept through a month on varying low doses of Sinemet.

You might want to check exactly. What you call Carbilev might be carbidopa/levodopa (generic for Sinemet), possibly the immediate release form, sometimes referred to as IR here. The Sinemet may be the brand version of controlled release (CR) or extended release (ER).

I feel like I hit a wall about 2 hours after I take Sinemet CR. It lasts 20-30 minutes, then I am fine. If I am somewhere I can take a nap, I do. It’s really irritating but I have no idea what can be done about it.
