Is anyone taking glutathione for Parkinson's symptoms? Does the nasal spray cross the blood brain barrier? Any side effects?

Consider taking NAC instead. It's a lot cheaper and it does cross the BBB.

No, not that you will notice. It is perhaps the most important antioxidant and I believe over time, we are better off for having taken it then not taking it. The problem with determining whether or not NAC does anything is the same problem determining whether or not nutrition and supplements make a difference. Compared to what? Where would you be if you didn't take them? There's no way to know. I consider supplements to be a subset or the same thing is nutrition. I'm convinced that an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory diet and supplements are beneficial.

I started taking NAC few days ago. Though its to early too see the real effects but I think its a good stuff.

I took the intranasal for quite a while a few years ago and had no discernible improvement. Do a search for Dr. Laurie Mischley. She is the pioneering researcher on it.

This is Dr. Mischley's vimeo which discusses the role of nutrition and supplements in Parkinson’s.

Almost impossible to do without IV. I learned how to do that, dr put in a port and I gave my husband IV s for years of glutathione and c. Get tested for glutathione levels before assuming you have low levels of it. My husband did have low levels which are common but not universal for Parkies. We got the levels up and eventually stopped the IV s. NACvis good.

Too much guessing without actually getting levels and that means flying blind. There are tests like Spectracell which will give you levels of nutrients in cell, then work from there - preferably with a good naturopath. Will save you $$$ of unnecessary supplements and target the ones you really need.

I take infusions of NAC and Myers Cocktail every 2 to 3 wks along with daily exercise and supplements.

Together, they keep my PD symptoms at bay.

My doc sez: "Intravenous glutathione will never work because it does not cross the blood brain barrier. Both clinical trials were negative."
