Although I do not have Parkinson’s, I do have essential tremors which are profound. A year ago I had DBS surgery on the right side and this has proven to be outstanding. I feel that I am in the wrong forum. Maybe there is another forum for essential tremors which may be more beneficial.

Essential Tremors
In2az I had essential tremors for a few years, before I got resting tremors. I was diagnosed with PD after the resting tremors started, and the neurologist said that some people have both types of tremors. So the neurologist put me on Levodopa/Cardopa for resting tremors and other PD symptoms, and put me on another medicine that he thought would help with essential tremor. Both medicines have helped immensely. Now I can work with tools again, without s lot of shaking etc. I would recommend seeing a movement disorders specialist and/ or neurologist, do that they can evaluate your essential tremor difficulties and see if there is a medicine they can prescribe that might help you, especially if the tremor has gotten to the point, where it interferes with your daily routines.
