Is anyone taking Seroquel for insomnia ? If so what dosage are you taking and does it help you. Do you feel drugged?

I was a "basket case" after my wffe's tragic, accidental death, and could not sleep. The doctor, a psychiatrist, prescribed Trazodone for my insomnia.

I didn't want to take anything possibly psychoactive, but just try and argue with a specialist.

My husband started on Seraquel for Parkinson's psychosis a week ago. He had been raging around, couldn't sit down and hadn't slept for 4 days. He is now sleeping and is much calmer and sensible. He has Trazadone, but it didn't help him at all. He needed to calm his brain down, He is on only 12.5 mg. twice a day, working up to 25 mg twice a day.

I'll report in a month from now, but so far, he is lots better, and so am I.
