High blood pressure meds. calcium beta blockers. or ace inhibitors. that's what I was expected the ones on here longest to be asking me.. I believe these type of meds slow your heartbeat down or keep it at a steady rate. maybe they're PD MEDS are not getting a good delivery to where they should going (brain) . especially when some of the relax arteries and veins , what else are they relaxing .

meds are usually absorbed in the gut and transported through the body. PD meds must cross the blood brain barrier to work for PD symptoms.

I am not sure what you are asking but I do not believe cardiac or Hypertension meds slow down the transportation of meds through the blood stream.

thanks for replying. your second paragraph . if you can control our heartbeat with these meds ,you control the meds. any kind. before I had PD I was on 1 of these meds . don't want to say the name ,I complained to the doctor that the tablets were slowing me down, replied that's what there suppose to do. I walk home that day I was ok on the flat ground but when came to a slight gradient I had to stop several times out of breath .suffered the meds two or 3 months . when I spoke to a nurse , she said on the flat your heart could cope. but on gradient your heart rate has to compensate to get more oxygen into the bloodstream. well I stopped the meds for a month. within a week I was 96% normal which brings me back to middle of January in my previous post . tommybigt

Tommy,

Beta blockers can make you tired and slow your body down. Are you thinking these meds (whatever they were) could have caused your PD?

I've been thinking about that Holoi. Specially when I found out that the tablet is banned in several countries in Europe and Canada. There's nothing I can do about that If you've got you've got it. The problem is I'm on a ace inhibitor. Which is affecting my balance. Sorry I spelled your name wrong Hokoi
