On p.151 there is a table which lists 5 neurotransmitters (serotonin, dopamine, norepinephrine, NMDA, GABA) and nutrients affecting them - in case some of you might be interested in looking at them, here are the ones affecting dopamine:

Increased activity : tyrosine, phenylalanine, vitamins B1, B6, SAMe, methionine.

Decreased activity: Folic acid, vitamins B5, C, choline, DMAE, niacinamide, Mn, GABA, CoA

That's interesting. Does that mean you need more of the 1st group ? Is it worth reading?

The book covers brain chemistry and mostly mental health issues like autism, schizophrenia, behavioral disorders, ADHD, etc. It has a chapter on Alzheimer's but not on Parkinson's.

Since everybody's biochemistry is individual, it is hard to tell what kind of supplements to take, ex. some people need vit. C even though according to the table it decreases dopamine, which really surprised me, however, I would not take mega doses of it.

Just want to clarify, the book doesn't cover PD, but mostly mental health issues and some Alzheimer's. You can check out the table of contents on Amazon:

I am not aware that anything has yet been proven in proper scientific studies to CURE PD! Beware of such claims.

You are right John, there are no studies providing cure for PD. And in one of my above replies I specified that this book doesn't cover PD - it is about treatment of mental disorders in general. And I only included information on how nutrients affect neurotransmitters, increasing or decreasing them.
