Sad but probably a very true relationship. That as the PD disease progresses it can be harder to get the proper nutrition needed. Thanks for posting this article!
It would be good for full nutritional assessments to be carried out on all those in the process of diagnosis. This would include masked B12 deficiency which apparently doesn't show up on normal blood tests, if I understand this correctly.
My partner has PD and is a strict vegetarian who has responded well to taking omega 3 oil and supplements. I suspect that malnutrition may be the cause, or part of the cause, of his PD but there seems to be so little understanding of nutrition among medical professionals.
