Looking in the Mirror

Looking at the mirror I see a very strong man. Perhaps stronger than he has ever been before. Even stronger than as a Marine.

PD is the reason and each day I face adversity and win. That man has to get stronger.

I face the mirror and say, "I am strong." PD has no answer.

What is patently clear through both your words is shining beauty and strength of you both.

I don't much like what I see looking back at me in the mirror most days but I don't think that is actually me. I feel pretty much exactly the same way inside I felt when I was 10, 20, 40, 50 so that changing image in the mirror can't be me, it must just be the kind of 'box' I'm living in.

So a big, warm, hug across the wifi to you both.

This is bazillions wife,I don't have PD but live with a wonderful man who doesn't look the same as when we married but then I have a shock when I look in the mirror and don't recognise the person looking back.

What I do see when I look at him is the same light shining from within, He's had a lot more than PD to contend with but that light has never gone out.His mantrra is live in the moment ,each day as the last ,no looking back or forwards, IN THE MOMENT, I am so lucky to have such a man.

Hi F John.

Here I am in wonderful Yorkshire, England . It's 6:30 am .

I'm sat up in bed listening to the dawn chorus. The birds are saying " come on Martin. The world is waiting for you."

I look in the mirror and see an old man , bloated face and that stern look. Inside I'm stil 40 .

On top of the P D they've let me have shingles for the last week. Who's they? They are the ones who dole out illnesses.

Oi mate give it a rest.....

The doors open I can hear my wife in the kitchen.

Break fast smells waft in .

Outside its just coming light. The trees outside my window are getting their first buds.

Soon be Spring ..

Mmmmm. Bacon and eggs and Brown bread.

That woman knows what I need to inspire me to get out of bed.

Duvet thrown back . I'm standing up .

First wavering steps of a new day.

Look out world .. Here I come..I'm still here.

Mmmm ... Jam or marmalade .. Decisions, decisions

My collie/ Labrador has just bounded in. He's jumped on my bed. He's about six stone. Thinks he's still a small puppy.

Hes happy and alert . It rubs off on me.

He wants to go out .

Josie is part-Vizsla and something else.

One ear is up and the other down (Don't try this at home).

An athletic dog that likes to keep on the move so I have to do my daily workouts to keep up.

She is still a puppy so chewing up couches is still in style.

She loves to kiss us and his nose is the coldest thing on the planet.

PD is far away when she is around and she is always around. If I'm having a rough day, she moves a little closer.

I am grateful she has been sent to us.
