Hi All, I am Bob from India, a newbie here. PD since last one year. Moderate tremor in my left hand. Some stiffness in lower limbs. No allopathy drugs. Taking herbal supplements like Aswagandha, Brahmi and Turmeric capsules along with Coconut oil. Taking Aqua Hydration Formula Drops. So far so good. Intend to add Mucuna Pruriens capsules. Down the road, planning to go for Ayurvedic Panchakarma treatment.

I 'll share and update my journey as it unfolds.

Wishing you all a speedy recovery from PD

Welcome! Your therapies sound interesting. (I have some googling to do on some of them). Hope you have great success reversing things or slowing the progression.

Oceanflower, Thank you for your kind words. I do appreciate!

Hi

So why do you think that you have PD?

Did the same person that suggested you had PD also tell you to follow that treatment regime? Do you know someone with PD that follows that herbal regime or did you get it from the internet. Did you self diagnose and prescribe the herbs ?

I also wish you a speedy recovery but unfortunately most of us will not be recovering from PD soon because we are just taking those silly western "allopathy" medications. India must be a wonderful place, every ill can be treated there simply by taking a cup of tea.

There are maybe a thousand people here with professionally diagnosed PD ,some with PD for many, many years and we have heard this all many times before. Good luck, hope it works for you. Now everyone can go ahead and jump on me for the way I treated our new member. Sometimes you just have to call it the way you see it. No respect for what others are going through, he has the answers after all.

Hi GymBag,

Thank you for your response. I respect your views though I may not agree with most of them. It is just a matter of one's perception. Best wishes!

Why do you feel the need to be so cynical? The last thing what you should do is taking away hope.

in reply to Josiedub

Based on symptoms I would suggest that he has a great deal of hope because it very well could be that he does not have PD. I dont mind being critical but I have no need to be and Theresa filled in the details having also spotted what I saw. None of my questions where answered. Hope is what snake oil salesmen prey on. We try and use as much science as possible and are optimistic but if you are talking about a cure the way he is, no not much hope.

PS But on second thought perhaps you are right. Maybe I will just ignore from now on.

Good for you! You should have 'Ignored' in the first place instead of playing "Doctor". You have a 'chip on your shoulder' considering your sarcastic racial remarks about India and Indian Tea, in your first response. If you have some reservations about herbals and India, you

are welcome. No need to wash your dirty laundry as a welcome note to my Intro. Hope we do not cross each other's path again.

in reply to bobpamidi

Racist eh MMMMM

which race do you think I offended?

No , not a racist, I just have a problem with a country that allows a million people to be classified as untouchables who are denied the basic freedoms, education, protection and fundamental healthcare. The saying goes that if all one has is a hammer than a hammer becomes a tool that will do everything and so it goes with tea.

How about answering some of my questions ?

Where do i buy the herbs?

Rosa, You can check at Amazon.com and Iherb.com

They are more expensive in retail outlets, I reckon, based on user's feedback.

Are you certain you have PD? How were you diagnosed? Tremors and stiffness could be caused by many less serious things than PD, or more serious things like certain brain tumors or ALS. Are your tremors resting or action tremors? Action tremors are generally not PD but essential tremors which are far less serious. Have you lost your arm swing? Are you able to sense smells? Do you find your thinking and physical movement have slowed? How is your balance? Do you have muscle aches all over your body? Do you have insomnia? Does you body jerk involuntarily? Do you find there are times when you can't move a part of your body, such as your leg, and for me my right eye lid. Do you have a lot of fatigue? Do you have depression? Have you had a test to see if your brain has a low amount of dopamine? Do you have temperature fluctuations that are not congruent with the actual temperature of your environment? Do you have a problem with teeth chattering even though you are not cold? Do you have moments when you are talking and stop and can't think of what you were going to say? Before a doctor makes a PD diagnosis he will eliminate other causes that mimic PD, such as thyroid problems, low B12, brain lesions, brain tumors, high copper in your blood, low blood sugar, reactions to certain medications or herbs. PD is not easy to diagnose and it is very often diagnosed wrongly so I am of the strongest opinion that if you are not diagnosed by a medical professional highly knowledgeable in movement disorders and brain functioning the chances of a wrong diagnosis are high.

You go girl! I love that educated informed rundown of symptoms.

I went to the dentist yesterday and got a crown on one of my teeth. I find that one of the most challenging situations as I need to actually be able to keep still and hope my mouth doesn't start trembling. I have the kindest dentist. They are all so nice to me and told me that I am one of the easiest patients. Made me feel better.

My dentist is the same way. I told him that my jaw sometimes chatters from the PD and he told me he could manage, he had other patients with the same problem. Made me feel better also.
