This article I find fascinating. If it is this simple they should be able to get all of us walking well again and 99% of this disease will be cured.

I wonder why it is necessary to go into huge expense to discover the above cause of the stop/start walking when we can simply consciously over-ride the normal (Subconsciously controlled) walking?

Because walking consciously does not cost anything it will not be popular with the drugs industry, but it does avoid having to take some, as yet designed medication or have a brain new type of brain operation.

Would it not be simpler to encourage patients to start using their conscious brain to control their walking? Think of all the other health benefits to be gained by walking regularly!

AT THE MOMENT, I AM DRAGGING MY FOOT MORE THAN MY LEG SO MUCH.....HAVE TO CONSCIOUSLY LIFT IT, CAN FEEL THE LONG MUSCLES ON EACH SIDE OF LEG THAT NEED SPEAKING TO (GOOD THING, AT LEAST IT LISTENS) BUT IT'S A DRAG.

STAIRS ARE FORCING ME TO TALK TO MY FOOT?!? LOL

BESIDES, I HAVE SO NICE COWBOY BOOTS THAT MY FOOT BETTER LIKE BECAUSE I DO AND I'M BOSS.

If you would like to learn how to walk consciously, and to permanently overcome your walking problems, then contact me on my website - reverseparkinsons.net - it will cost you nothing, just a bit of effort. I have helped hundreds, if not thousands of people to walk normally. It is all up to you!

Dear JohnPepper,

Do you think I could benefit from going into your website, I was diagnosed in 2005 so far so good until a few months ago, I had a really bad fracture on my ankle so I had surgery, so a few weeks ago I couldn't move my legs, especially the right one, I believe it's called freezing??? It's a very, very... bad situation just standing there, unable to move. What med do you recommend if any, I know there is no meds that will cure that, but maybe something that might help. Thanks

Hi Chicafromchitown. If you go t my website - reverseparkinsons.net You will find several articles on walking. If you freeze (Legs won't move) then go through the following proceedure:

1. Relax.

2. Place your weight onto your left leg.

3. Lift your right leg off the ground and initiate a step.

4. you are free of the freezing.

Your subconscious brain becomes confused and it tries to make you walk on both legs at the same time; hence the festination. When you consciously take control and place your weight onto one leg, you are then able to lift the other leg off the ground and move.

Good luck!

thank-you, I put it on my reading list. i'm still busy installing my new kitchen floor covering, than I have to install my new water pump....i'm at a time in life where I have to replace a lot of old household items.

I might not have pd and dopamine deficiency, I might have a problem in the cerebellum vicinity that may be reversing spontaneously. we'll see.

I read the article quickly and yes it does sound like promising research but I did not see where it makes the claim that 99% of this disease will be cured by it.

the 99% I came up with. I just think if we could walk well then we would not use so much energy and then we don't get so tired. I believe this fatigue is the root of the symptoms that give us the most problem. I know it does with me.

whole series of articles point to gut-immune system-metabolism = starvation of neurons as causative of pd, and implicates our mitochondria: on board for their ability to produce energy......an ancient addition of bacterial origin that our immune system is wary of.
