I read recently that this substance is a whizz at producing new brain cells as well as protecting those already in place. Has anyone tried it?

best wishes

I have not tried low dose lithium but it is on my to do list. In addition to it being neurotrophic, it has at least 1 PD application which involves limiting dyskinesia.

Thank you; I'll investigate the links you've provided. There is a book; Lithium; The essential Brain Nutrient by Timothy Marshall which can be downloaded from Amazon.

Thanks again, you are a helpful resource

Please please do not take lithium it's the worse thing to take, my husband tried this in a clinical trial years ago we almost lost him, many patients did in fact die so please hang in there let's hope something better then that will work.

I am sorry to hear of your husband's lithium-related problems in a clinical trial. Was it a full dose lithium or low dose lithium trial? Also, what was the disease they were attempting to treat with lithium?

Thanks

They started low then went up a little at a time. Cause he CBD it's been a up hill climb not much of what we try seems to work to good. Guess we will see what the back dr says if he needs surgery or not. I am hoping if he dose it will help with some of the pain he is in. And he will be able to walk.

A bit tired here from too much work and stuff. By CBD do you mean Corticobasal Degeneration?

If so I will give some internet time to find therapy alternatives. I am sure there are clinical studies from Asia or India on CBD and various antioxidants, etc. Specifically China has been putting out a prodigious amount of research to the point of information overload.

I am so sorry to hear about your husband's bad experience. It is really apalling that people died. Surely those in charge of the trial should have stopped it as soon as the adverse reactions became apparent.

I hope your husband's condition starts to improve.

With all best wishes to you both.

Yes, you're right, lithium (the drug) has real nasty and dangerous side effects. RESEARCH ON LITHIUM OROTATE (THE MINERAL, NOT THE DRUG), THE BENEFITS ARE AMAZING WITH ALMOST NO SIDE EFFECTS.

Let me share my lithium story. My favorite doctor ever, Dr S Todd Robinson of Lakeland Florida, may he rest in peace, insisted at my first visit that i read a book called Nutritional Lithium: A Cinderella Story: The Untold Tale of a Mineral That Transforms Lives and Heals the Brain, by Greenblatt MD, James M. (Author), Grossmann RN, Kayla (Author). He recommended 10 to 20mg per day and give it 2 weeks.

Prior to taking lithium, I suffered for years and years with the most embarrassing brain fog . Horrible. I often felt so stupid and wondered why i just didn't get it half the time. 2 weeks later, more than one person whom i considered very smart referred to ME as the smartest person they know!! My brain fog was gone and it never came back. Why, just last week a coworker introduced me to another future coworker as, this is Rob and he's a PhD! I feel that this is 100% attributed to lithium..

I had stopped taking it when i ran out and didn't restock a couple of months ago . At that time my neurologist tried switching around my meds and i never felt so depressed in my life. I contemplated suicide, i bawled my eyes out, i had meltdown after meltdown. Then i remembered that people have used lithium for extreme cases of depression, and i did not want to mess with ssri's. Ssri drugs were not compatible with mao b inhibitors that I was taking . So I went back to lithium and all is well!

I can't say it's doing anything for the motor symptoms. But i am really enjoying mental clarity and much better moods.

10 to 20 mg lithium orotate before bed. 2 weeks then follow up with us here.

Thank you for sharing your amazing experience with lithium.

Let me add a shocking story Dr. David Williams shared with us his ("ALTERNATIVES") readers a long time ago. He said that rigorous studies performed on the worst criminal individuals in some prisons in the eeuu, found out a close connection with severe depletion of lithium in their brains caused by low or null content of lithium in the municipal drinking water.

The information in this article is thought provoking:

The key thing is, in the form of lithium orotate, more lithium crosses the blood brain barrier so a fraction of the amount of lithium is needed to get the results you want. The risk of toxicity is dramatically reduced.
