Hollow

There are monsters that knaw at my insides

Love, Hope, Healing, False Dreams,

Dreams that I had when I felt more like me.

My brain won't function but my memory works fine

All of the hurt, it won't leave,

It's trapped deep down inside.

The tears seem endless,

The emptiness unbearable

Sometimes I worry...

Worry of something most terrible.

I ask the misery to end, but it reappears again

and again

I lay in my bed weakened mentally, physically, and spiritually.

God, do you hate me?

Why do you let me suffer so?

If you are there Dear Father, please tell me so.

If I can't feel love, comfort,or happiness

tell me now, and please let my spirit go.

...and if you hear me, God please hear my prayers

Please send me a sign, let me know that you are there.

A life in this darkness, is no life to live

I've given my all and that's all I can give.

So God if you're listening

Hold out your hand and lead me to light

or Give me the strength I need to continue this fight.

I'm sick,

so please heal me.

I'm asking for guidance, and for your help

Reach out your hand and don't let me drown in despair.

If you're too busy

I'll understand

Send my Sweet Angel, Someone to watch over me,

to stop the PD Monster before it consumes and takes over me.

very nice. I had a feeling you could share one or two poems with us. Its funny but my ring tone is Monster of Love by the Sparks. It starts " Don't Let it get Me. I found it relative to my situation but didn't know why until I you saw PD as a monster. Thank You

in reply to

Thank you for your kind words sirshakes. My writing tends to be a little Dark. I was hesitant about sharing this but I hope it's ok, not everyone gets my style of writing or relates.

there now your poem has company

Snap, crackle, pop, goes my main frame

Snap, crackle, pop, grinds my gears

Snap, crackle, pop, goes precious minutes of my life

All because of the snap, crackle, pop between my ears

Thanks for sharing..... now i don't feel so alone. ;-)

I love Parkinson's poetry from those of us who have it. Others have a hard time grasping it.

I feel the same way but don't think I can put it into poetry. My take on all this hell we live in is I must have really did someone wrong in a previous life. I unfortunately have lost a lot of faith some because all I used to do was cry in church thinking about all the loved ones I had lost. Now besides that I have this demon running my body. It is such a personal disease or diseases depending on what research you're following today. Judy

littlerody,

Don't feel alone Judy.... I feel just like you do. I actually say what you just wrote all the time "I must have did someone wrong in a previous life to deserve living in this Hell" and i question sometimes if there is merciful God and if there is he must really hate me.

I hope we all can find some peace within ourselves. Hang in there, you are not alone.

Best wishes, Darkfllower

I can assure you both that God loves you with a love we can not fathom, so much so He gave his life to pay the debt we owe to the god of this world. He created us and then paid the ransom for us so He owns us twice. I don't have the why me God attitude because I find that we are gold and need the trials of fire to be purified. Imagine giving your life to serving God to your fullest (Billy Graham) only to spend your last 27 years with Parkinson's. I wonder how much time he spends talking with God, Hey I am ready to go home now. How long are you going to leave me on this world in this decaying body I am 97 . One of my favorite lines from one of my favorite movies is " Life is pain your highness, anyone who tells you differently is selling something". Dread Pirate Roberts

I am King David, son of Jesse.

I have Parkinson’s disease.

To most in the world, I am the shepherd boy who slew Goliath;

That’s right… with just a pebble and a sling.

Some know me as the King David who first united the kingdom of Israel.

I have Parkinson’s disease.

Very few recognize the most important battle in my life.

Rest assured, it was recorded…* against my best wishes.

You see, my pride pushed me to battle in spite of my progressive malady.

I was almost killed by a Goliath descendent: Ishbi-Benob.

That changed everything…

I dare say, even world history.

I was recently noted to be the world’s first person with Parkinson’s.

I provided you ample clues 3000 years ago.

The clues were finally connected by a current scribe.**

He is a surgeon.

He also has Parkinson’s disease.

*2nd Samuel 21:15 – 22.

**JMSMA. 2014; 55:14 – 1

And another is in the works...

I AM HITLER

My Christian name is Adolf Hitler.

My Aryan title is Fuehrer of the Third Reich.

Those closest to me often call me Wolf

Oh, yes…

I have Parkinson’s disease.

Some say I am simply evil.

Some say I have always been blinded to reality.

A few recognize that my whole life has been a gamble.

Some would-be scholars claim my Parkinson’s altered my judgment.

I hope you enjoy this read.

My special “ghost writer” captured reality with an unusual twist.

You may find this bizarre, but I trust him.

His insight is unique.

Aryan blood must flow through his veins.

He also has Parkinson’s.

I have done a little research on Hitler and I am almost positive that Parkinson's played at least a part in his rise and ultimately his downfall. Researchers are still trying to figure out if his doctor was just an enabler or trying to kill him.

I studied The Third Reich/Hitler and his doctor Morrell and there have been some very interesting speculations about their relationship. Many people think Hitler had syphilis because Morrell was a dermatologist and syphilologist. The only problem with this hypothesis is Hitler had neither tabes dorsalis, the loss of control of muscles in the spinal region, nor general paresis of the insane - syphilis's verion of Alzheimer's disease:

Did Adolf Hitler have syphilis?

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/163...

A better explanation is put forth by Abraham Lieberman:

Adolf Hitler had Post-encephalitic Parkinsonism

eugrafal.free.fr/Lieberman-...

As for Morrell, he gave one of the most dangerous cocktails of drugs, etc... to Hitler that I ever read. It included strychnine, amphetamines, cocaine eye drops.....and here is a list of all the supplements Hitler took:
