Hello. Have you heard about this guy. He claims to know how to reverse PD. The only thing he is telling us is to believe in yourself and buy his supplements. Is this a scam?

Thanks for the link. Not much hope there.

No. I don't think he's a faker but I think it'd be hard to follow his protocol.  It took him years to recover and I admire his stickability. My problem is that I want to see some effect if I'm going to have to endure some grotty diet/practice!

There's nowhere near enough clinical data in his PD presentation and recovery to convince me. The event that prompted his diagnosis doesn't remotely sound like PD, far more like a TIA (transient ischemic attack) which, by it's very nature passes but can recur and rarely leaves lasting damage. Any videos of his story that I've seen lack the presence of an actual neurologist to confirm that he had DAT scan confirmation plus undeniable PD symptoms. All a little too vague for me, my suffering friends.

I am also extremely sceptical of people looking for money. If there was some gravitas to his claims, it would have been picked up on and been tested in some sort of research study.

Beware of strangers bearing gifts (and invoices). :)

I have signed up for "his" emails. Got 3 emails so far with absolutely no useful info and with the same youtube video attached where it shows how he mixes something in the glass.

True, my husband was diagnose PD 6 years ago,

At aged  70, just after he retired

the last  months have seen rapid deterioration ..

To the point of 3rd stage PD,

What a lot of these so called do gooders do not realise

Is that PD affects everyone so differently .

I know it gives false hope to..

My husband has never had tremors,  shaking hands and shuffling

And difficulty getting in and out of chairs, and confined spaces, he is also urine  incontinant ,

It's a horrid decease to watch, you're loved one go through,

Slow deterioration of all motor skills

Brain power still in tact, although slow to answer, but has trouble with projecting his voice also.

Our life concentrated around his every day needs,

Going out is near impossible ..

He has carers twice a day, but family and friends  tend to keep well away,

There is no known cure for PD.. Read  about Micheal J Fox

If money could not cure him. What will.

The answer is nothing except medication to control the symptoms

Which sometimes works, and sometimes needs constant adjusting

That's how we see it.

I long ago gave up,on reading articles on how PD had been reversed.

What we really need is money and more money spent in research

BTW April is PD awareness Month ..

Time for those that are able to raise much needed cash for this

Cause

Unfortunately, he has all the signs of being a snake oil salesman. He may actually believe in what he is selling, but we put our trust in highly qualified neurologists and medical science. If there was anything value about his claims, all PwPs would be his customers. Beware!

Hi Texas. I wrote to John Coleman many years ago and bought his book. I can't call him a fraud but I am very suspicious of 'secret' formulas and special 'water' to rehydrate ourselves. I am not sold on the idea that dehydration has anythng to do with Pd. I am sure that if it were we would have seen some sort of proof or otherwise about it. I am personally not prepared to buy expensive water without knowing what is in it.

I think if you have the $ to spend you may find one of his "treatments' that randomly could help . It is a gamble!  But like they say "a sucker is born every minute......"/
