Apartment doors

My mother has PD and recently got a rolling Walker. However the door to her apartment is heavy and I believe it's spring loaded to close on its own. This is presenting a problem as she is slower to move and not strong enough to hold door open as she tries to get out and in using her Walker. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Not blank

See the apartment engineer and ask him to make adjustment to the closer.

Ask the apartment manager if the ADA (Americans w/ Disabilities Act) has anything to say about accessibility.

Thank you for your reply. The superintendent of the building is coming tomorrow to make an adjustment. If that isn't sufficient, the CCAC, (in Canada, The Community Access Care Centre) will be speaking with us on Friday. I thank you so much for your reply, itz nice to know there are people out there who understand and are willing to help. :)
