The Cure Parkinson’s Trust are supporting a world-first global study to learn more about the health of people with Parkinson’s, to help bridge the long gap between visits to the doctor.

You’re invited to become a citizen scientist, tracking the ten most important aspects of your health for 100 days using the uMotif platform on a smartphone or tablet. Everyone will track sleep quality, mood, exercise, diet and stress levels. Then it’s up to you to choose another 5 aspects of your health that are most important to you.

In return, you can share your experiences and see how everyone else taking part in the study is benefitting on the study website. You’ll be able to gain insight into the factors affecting your own health. For instance people with Parkinson’s may learn about how the time of day that they take their medication affects their motor symptoms such as reflexes.

The data donated will also contribute to academic research approved by a committee led by the Cure Parkinson’s Trust, helping to unlock new discoveries in Parkinson’s.

This is a world-first, ethics approved, people-centred project of this size and scale in healthcare and open to everyone. So please sign up today, and encourage your friends, family and colleagues to sign up too. They can take part even if they do not have Parkinson’s.

You can be a part of it!

Simply visit 100forparkinsons.com, download the uMotif app

from the Apple App Store or Google Play and enter code 100FP to unlock the study.

I just checked and the code 100 FP does not work in this country yet I contacted the company and they said it'll work at the end of the week.

Thank you.

Hi Cure Parkinson's Trust - very interesting. I would be very intrigued to talk with you about this. I am currently undertaking a similar self-study by myself, but in extremis of self-experimenting with a number of quality of life interventions based on detailed scientific understanding. Just 60 days in, I have taken well documented quantum leaps in reducing my symptomology and quality of life outthinkingparkinsons.com - we would be very interested in a version of your cell phone technique as applied to some of our interventions to see how these scale.
