A prospective.......Remember falling as a Toddler, usually a surprise. Distance was not great, inertia was trivial. Things have changed, today weigh over 200 lbs (serious inertia). Distance to the ground is now serious too. In your blog you seem to describe some fenestration? Looking at the prospect of serious injury? Heed this as a signal. Get connected with Physical Therapy, you indicate that perhaps you know how to fall? Can make a world of difference. If not, learn how to. Kevin Lockette PT, in his MOVE IT therapy teaches safe ways to deal with fenestration and freezing. To quote a recent Micheal J Fox webinar, "to avoid rehab, you need prehab."

some excellent points there Bill - thank you!

Mind how you go, well done. I know how you feel. I felt on top of the world when QPR got promotion to the premier league, just joking. albert

I hit the deck this week too. No serious injuries, just ugly stuff that will pass. It's been many moons since I've had skinned knees! Sure is sobering, though -- you really do feel like you've crossed into new territory. I know we will all feel more at ease once you get those ribs X-rayed!

Hi there and thx for the concern! Sorry to hear about ur spill too - I guess I should feel fortunate enuf to find a shred of humour in the incident- could have been a lot worse (especially if it had happened the day before when I was on the roof of our bungalow! Won't be doing that again!). Anyway, went for X-rays today - no breaks - just 6-8 weeks of recovery. Thx for ur interest and take good care😀

My husband has PD and early Alzheimer's. He gets weak legged and has to stop and hold on to something or goes down. Has fallen a few times and hit head really bad once. Dr said could be blood pressure drop when first getting up. Seems to me after reading your posts and some research more likely PD related. Do you with PD suffer with depression? He's on meds for it, but can't find any purpose in life. Do you want to be asked how you are feeling and talk about it or not? Do you want to be encouraged to do things or do you feel that everybody's just telling you what to do? Are you more suspicious of things and people? Married for 45 years, married highschool sweetheart, devoted to our life and wanting to understand.
