After trying umpteen laxatives available in US, obtained from vaidyaratnamoushadalaya.com in India (Trichur,Kerala,India) a pulverized mixture of 3 fruits & 2 herbs, called Bruhat Triphala (Tri-three, phala-fruits)(Bruhat means strong). It is my understanding that the ordinary Triphala is a powder derived from pulverizing 3 fruits, whereas what I referred to was Bruhat Triphala which has an additional 2herbs, one of which I know is derived from Senna. You can also try Kappikachu ( Indian Mucanapuriens ) from Vaidhyaratnam , quite effective . Must remember to take empty stomach 30 to 45 Min before food for action
