Has anyone tried essential oils. I understand different oils have different uses. I have this website but I also wanted to see if anyone has had success with symptoms like insomnia, restlessness etc.

Thank you, the web site I have is mydoterra.com/martildrake

I just went to a class about these and am eagerly awaiting the arrival of my order. I bought the book and some basic oils but I am MOST excited about the pain relieving cream..... Blue something. I tried it on a sore shoulder and it was immediately without pain for several hours.

Hi again. Yes I saw it and you are welcome. Just got my order yesterday. I will use the Blue pain cream a lot. It's actually called Deep Blue Rub. Also...I made a cream of Lavender and coconut oil and also one with eucalyptus and coconut oil. Let's keep in touch and share what works for us. :)

I was just at a parkinsons conference, and while it was predominately on stem cell research the Dr also explained why most People with PD do not sleep well. For one we usually do not reach normal REM pattern, but our sleep cycles are also much shorter. Sometimes only 1-2 hours long and it is difficult to reach a deep sleep with such a short cycle. She did say that time released melatonin can be helpful to many. I am considering getting some. My average sleep time is about 3 hours at a time if I'm lucky but at least with the Lavender I can go right to sleep and my awake time is less.. I can fall right back to sleep after I breath the Lavendar. I also just read that cedar wood helps too. I am going to try that tonight. Because here in Hawaii it is midnight and I'm wide awake! I also sleep better if I ride my stationary bike a few times a day for short rides rather than one long ride... Exercise is the best all around help fo me.

Marijuana before bedtime and I get 8 hours of sleep every time, Nature's miracle plant. Do not believe the negative propaganda, The most egregious medical lie of the twentieth century. Do some research fellow PD sufferers and find relief. I did and am happier for it.

Hi Peaches, I did send a thank you reply but I haven't seen it on the site. So, if you haven't seen it either, I really do appreciate your response.

Yes I read up on it and have an aromatherapist. I have a special Trauma Oil or Pats Pain Blend or oils. Also he makes a lavendar lotion for bedtime.

DoTerra has a kit called AromaTouch that has many bottles of various oils to be applied in a specific order. You might try that. It's what worked for me. (and no, I don't sell DoTerra)

I have recently started using the do terra oils and they have been helping me! For one thing I can actually smell some o them now where as in in the beginning I could not! Also lavender is really helping me sleep. Deep blue & peppermint helps leg pain and cramping ! Plus so many other amazing uses for them! I'm sold!

I have had great success with essential oils. Lavendar works great for my arm cramps, the essential oil named- Valor works for my sleep aide wonderful, Lemon works for waking me up during the med times that make me sleepy during the day, I use mostly in my wrist and the ear lobes. But as with Parkinson it seems to work at times, then does not for awhile, so I just take a break then start again. I have no knowledge of the site you put up but I do know of other oils.

Thank you so much Katie57,

I know what you mean by the comment "sometimes it works & sometimes it doesn't".

I use them for that exact purpose and that hose are some of the best oils in my opinion .. I have used other oils but I think do Terra's are of a high quality and work well.

I haven't tried essential oils, but I take 3 tablespoons of Extra Virgin Coconut Oil everyday & it really helps the stiffness in my legs, it has helped my horrible sleeping habits improve, & my overall feeling has improved a bit. I got the idea from a book called "Coconut Cures". Coconut oil used to be a no-no, but recent research has shown that it can actually be good for you. My doctor gave me the go ahead to take it.

Hi laglag, thanks for your response. Can you explain what you meant about improving your sleeping habits?

Thanks

about these essential oils there are so many websites to pick from and not being knowledgible of the subject how do I know what would be good for me and what would not.

Yes, I did try them and, I see from your website, that you are selling the ones I used. I was going to reply and tell people that those are the ones they should purchase because of their purity. They certainly did help with the fibromyalgia and I would recommend that members with fibromyalgia try these oils.
