tasty way to take coconut oil

I've been eating my coconut oil straight, or floating in a layer on top of my coffee. Not too tasty. Today I had about 1/4 glass jar left of almond butter. I melted 3/4 of a cup of coconut oil and poured half of it into the jar of almond butter, and stirred it until incorporated well. Then I added about 1 Tbsp of truvia (or honey or sugar) and a Tbsp of carob powder (or use cocoa powder) and stirred well. I then added the rest of the coconut oil and stirred it up well. Since it was thin consistency, I stuck it in the fridge for 5 minutes to thicken it and then stirred really well to make sure nothing settled. Boy does it taste good! I'll be taking my coconut oil 3 times a day like this from now on. And a jar of it will go in my suitcase on vacation in 3 weeks.

yes, peanut butter is very good for this, as well as any type of nut butters you would want to use. Peanut butter is a lot cheaper, too. I use almond butter because it's a lot lower in carbohydrates.

There is peanut butter, cashew butter, almond butter, any "nut" that has been creamed. The come both raw and roasted, and are kept best in the refrigerator. If your grocery store doesn't carry them, try a health food store or the internet. .

I started out with 2 tablespoons twice a day and now take 3 tablespoons 4 x day. Some people start out with smaller amounts if they have stomach upset, (but I never have had a problem with stomach upset or diarrhea.)

Heat 1/3 coffee cup of coconut milk, the variety that contains 6g of sugar, place two tbsp. of coconut oil and after it melts in a moment, you have a tasty drink not unlike hot cocoa. For that matter, I sometimes add a chunk of unsweetened cocoa for flavor.

I have yet to pinpoint CO as reducing my tremor. Over the past year of diet adjustments, tremors are markedly worse. But I take comfort and hope in reading of your experience with CO
