We have been asked by the European Commission to conduct a survey of carers and patients about services in the home supporting independent living/care for people with long-lasting illnesses/conditions. The results will be made public at the e-health conference in Athens in May. May we post the link to this group?

I just did the survey Personally speaking I think it sounds sinister. I get a very sneaky suspicion it is all about using technology to treat one's complaint. and nothing about actually speaking to anyone except through mobile phones and internet etc.

Might be fine in a city with the services but out in the stix often there is no phone signal, internet is so slow you could time it with a barometer.

I wonder who these people are who think up these surveys?

I thought I should reply and say that today we would find it difficult to live without the internet and social groups like these but i would hope the internet and online forums have not replaced real social life and the human touch. There is every reason to believe that such e-tools can be harnessed for the good of health
