CLEAR POINT SURGERY

After waiting 1 1/2 years for UCLA to get set up, we are now going up to UCSF next week for our first appointment

It is going to be difficult to make numerous trips up there, but we are running out of time. Will post on the steps to the procedure and the surgery itself. Hoping for the best.

It will be worth it. I had Clear Point 20 months ago. The biggest challenge for you will be patience with follow up programming.

Hi Wynn7 Good luck to you and keep us posted please. Is there any way that one can see in which state the members are. I am from South Africa. For example you Wynn7, where are you going for the treatment. It seems to me that some other countries have more medicine and treatments available as South Africa. Maybe I am wrong.

I was on Requip, but it is unavailable in SA.

I had the clearpoint surgery 11 months ago and due to the distance I live from the hospital my doctor did it all in one day. it has been wonderful. If you go to the clearpoint website, I am Celeste, the person on the video. I was taking 15 pills a day and I am down to 5. need to go in next month for a programming adjustment due to my left foot but besides that, it is wonderful. Good luck

it is deep brain stimulation surgery but with clearpoint --the surgery can be done all in one day and while the patient is asleep

Thanks for your help.I googled it and read about the Procedure. I couldn't find much about the risks or side effects. Are you having any problems after having it done? How has it helped you?
