been egoing t o a chioroprator (sp) now for the past few weeks. 1/2 hour massage first and then the doc for about 15 minutes............ hopefully the lower back and neck pain will soon be better. Hey, I will try anything....yup, anything !!!!! <grin>

tlongmire profile image

I definitely feel your pain, in the neck, anyway. I too see a chrio with 10 minute massage before seeing doc. I have found that my neck muscles get tighter when I am cold or chilled. I've been using a heat wrap around my neck when the pain is the worst which seems to help relax the muscles. Yes, I would try anything too!!

Hi Andy

Have a wonderful day with your kids. Weather here is awful. Wet and very windy.

We have a leak in our conservatory roof so extra Stress.

I am having my 3 year old grandaughter stay for the night tonight . Hope she settles ok as she has not been for a sleepover for some time. If not then she can join the night owl club.

Enjoy your day.

Woo hoo! Got up at 7.30 and decided to bake???? Made 18 blueberry muffins and 18 trip choc ones. Felt really proud of myself then realised I had put no eggs in lol. Dragged them out quick and actually managed to save them! Master chef I am not lol. Off to a friends for dinner tonight :))

Had a surreal day yesterday, my son was on local radio talking about his 1/2 marathon he is doing in aid of Parkinson's uk, felt really strange hearing him talking about his mother with Parkinson's ( who could that woman be). Guess I'm still a wee bit in denial lol. Have a good one everyone xx

Have a great weekend, Andy! My hubby and I are visiting Savannah, GA for a few days. The weather is fantastic with a high expected today of 77 degrees!!! WooHoo! No coats for me! Looking forward to walking on the beach and listening to the sound of the ocean. I love going to the beach!

Take care and have a good one!

I used to live in Savannah, I take it you were out to Tybee island. It's beautiful out there as long as you have some bug repelant. Those sand flees have some big teeth!!!! Hope you and your hubby had a great time!!!

Thanks, we had a fantastic time in Savannah. Beautiful, friendly city and so much history! We took a drive out to Tybee Island; but only strolled down the pier. It had rained the night before making it a cool and breezy day at the beach. We loved Savannah so much that we have planned another trip in the fall. There wasn't enough time on this trip to see everything we wanted to see....can't wait to go back!

Hi Everyone! :-)

Just got back from a day with my kids.....been playing games and done some drawing...my girls were asking about my shaky hand again, asking if it was going to get better....when I told them what was happening they went away happy with that...my youngest, Phoebe (nearly 5 ) was holding onto my hand trying to stop it shaking saying "I`ll stop it for you daddy"....bless her, I could have cried

Anyway hope the rest of your weekends go well

Take care

Oh p.s.......my boy doesnt ask much about my shaky hand.....he`s too busy playing in his own little world but when he does ask he also goes away happy with what I tell him............kids are so accepting of things at that age.

OH DEAR

Words, Billy Connolly. Tune, traditional.

SPOKEN PROLOGUE: This song is very dear to me. It's about outside toilets in tenement buildings, you know, and I'm awful fond of them, you know. I used to trip down to the outside toilet when I was about eight years of age in my Noddy pyjamas and my bare feet, because I was a midnight wee-wee specialist. Really. Never in my life was I known to pee during the day. Never once. But soon's it get dark... Ohh... Because everybody knew the outside toilets're full of ghosts, and I was feart. A born fearty. And I used to go down the stair with two wee bits of coal to throw round corners, because you can always kill a ghost with a bit of coal, everybody knew that. And I used to stand there, doing a wee-wee, holding the door open with wan leg, kidding on I wasn't scared, going "TRA-LA-LA! LA-LA-LA-LEEE!!" Soon's I was finished, VOOOOM! Up the stair, legs just a blur, into the house, into bed, make a tent, and read the Beano with a torch. I'd like you to join in the chorus. You've probably heard the tune before.

1. My name's Shug McGlumpher and I live up this close.

I'll tell ye a story. I promise it's nae boast.

During the power cut, I saw a big ghost.

Naebody knows that he's there.

CHORUS: Oh dear, what can the matter be?

I'm scairt tae go tae the lavat'ry.

I've no been since two weeks last Saturday.

I know who's hidin' in there!

2. He'd two big red eyes. On his head was a dent, man;

Big hairy horns, and his neck was all bent, man.

My mammy says he sounds just like the rent man,

But I know who's hiding in there.
