When you get better, and you will, please let me know the results. I experience somewhat of what you are going through and they still can't figure it out. Lots of weakness added.

try mixing some Colmans English Mustard to a thick paste, put it on a gauze pad, and fix the pad over where it aches. It will be hot, but it usually works.

You need to mix it and let it stand for 30 to 60 minutes because it gets dry and won't thicken properly.add a little water if it goes too dry.

Take itoff when it loses its natural heat, but put another on straight away.

Keep doing this until it stops heating when you change the pad.

A silly question but are you experiencing any constipation? Sometimes the gut muscles don't work in an orderly fashion and get into a painful state. Massage and something called Movicol might help in that case.

I have a similar pain on left side. Combination constipation and hip tendon tightness which tends to dystonia. physical therapy for ab pain helped.

Ive experienced similar aches/pains on my right side and had all the scans, ultrasound etc but still given clean bill of health. No problems with constipation, so not sure whats going on. It does come and go but I think my lower abdomen is slightly more swollen on the right than the left. My doctor thinks its probably muscular in origin, but not a hernia as this woud have shown up. Its always worse when Im stressed and sometimes notice it when Im lying on my right side in bed. Sorry, not being very helpful to you. I hope you get some relief soon because it is frightening when you experience that sort of pain and no one seems to know what it is and nothing seems to work. Let us know if you do find a cure.

Pain is weakness leaving your body. Anytime I get a pain, I attack the pain. It does not matter how, just attack! My favorite weapons are, not in any particular order. Water, ice, exercise, pot, Bio Freeze, heat pads, scotch, food, vitamins, cigarette, and anything else that will change my state of mind.

I agree, whatever helps! Aleve works for me when some of the above are not available!!

I agree, Aleve is wonderful.

I had the same pain for a long time - on the left side - my parkinson's side - got scans etc. . Finally while tackling the RLS syndrom mostly in my left buttock - Norton on this blog - suggested magnesium. It has completely helped my RLS and I fall asleep better, and has relaxed the muscles and that pain is gone also. It'll take a couple of weeks for it to all start working. I take magnesium chloride in liquid form - but you can get capsules. Good luck.

Good suggestion. A great source of magnesium is sea salt.

Depending on where exactly the pain is,..if it's the lower right side near the top of your leg, it could be a strained hip flexor muscle or psoas muscles. When this happens it can be because those muscles are trying to do all the work and other muscles need to be recruited to join in and help movements happen. Here's an exercise that helps:

1. Leg Slides -- lying on your back with knees bent, Inhale to prepare and then exhale, pulling your navel towards the back of your shirt and slowly slide one leg down to the floor using your deep abs to do the work...inhale to prepare and then exhale to drag that leg back up to meet the other leg using your deep abs to do the work again. Check that the hip flexor isnt working by putting your thumb in the crease at the top of your leg and if you feel the hip flexor tense up try to turn it off by taking a deep breath and exhaling to reengage your abs
