Is Spring sprung in your areas.

Spring is very important to me this is the time of year that my complaint always flares and I am in trouble for about four weeks.After this generally I have a remission in pain until the Autunm were it all starts again,

Do not get me wrong I still suffer badly with my complaint throughout summer although it is something to look forward to where I can reduce my medications and not be so confused mentally because of the horrors that I suffer for nine months of the year.

Many of my interests I can continue like visiting castles and historic homes and I collect the property guides that I read on the dark winters nights, that all come too soon.

When I think this disability has been with me now for 30 years and its strange that the basic year always follows the same route, its like bird migration.

Spring came here on 1st March, had a good sniff about, decided we were all too happy about it, and cleared off again, leaving a trail of bitter snow flurries in its wake.

Winter causes me all sorts of problems too, from black thoughts as soon as the clocks change, to dry, itchy skin that can be painful in itself, to increased shoulder pain from hunching up inside my coat.

It does seem to be lighter when I get up and I'm driving home in the light now most evenings, and I make the most of this, and try to force myself out into the daylight on days off. Little things like the daffodils coming up are a cheerful sight, even it's freezing.

I think a lot of us find the long winters difficult to cope with and we're longing for some respite.
