Is it possible to have an MRI of the spine when you have had two plastic and metal hip replacements?

You can safely have an MRI with hip replacements, and you will in any case have to fill in a form before having the MRI where any metal in your body has to be declared.

Most orthopaedic and dental implants are not a problem when having an MRI, because they are not magnetic. These include hip and knee replacements; plates, screws, and rods used to treat fractures; and cavity fillings. For more info: orthopedics.about.com/od/hi...
