Just out of curiosity how long do people normally wait on average for their first appointment for a rheumatology referral? I have been referred as I'm having ongoing sinus problems,dry eyes and sore joints.

First visit should be within 18 weeks maximum from date of referral. Hope that helps.
I had to wait 9 weeks to be referred to my local hospital it was a long time to wait and very painful
I’m in this position myself. NHS choose and book are saying no appointments available so I phoned instead but not convinced I’ll be seeing anyone soon 😥
7 Months in my area. And this is a second referral as the last one, (it was nearly a year waiting for that one) misdiagnosed me.
Have you tried the NRAS site on HU? Loads of good advice on there. Plus how to hassle the drs to maybe get your appointment faster😉
