You don't say why you have sore shoulders.

Ibuprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by reducing hormones that cause inflammation and pain in the body. Ibuprofen is used to reduce fever and treat pain or inflammation caused by many conditions such as headache, toothache, back pain, arthritis, menstrual cramps, or minor injury.

To be honest I don’t know I have had a lot of issues since March when I had shingles .

I have just been admitted to hospital. Hopefully I get some answers and get it resolved.

It unbearable.

Be careful not to take NSAIDs over long periods of time.....i took Meloxicam wound up with kidney damage. Ibuprofen always helped me until i became allergic and not allowed to take anymore. Meloxicam was the one did the damage....its another NSAID that was prescribed. Now im allowed narcotics like oxy and Tramadol......try to take only when in bad pain.

Thank you very much Barbola

The last thing I need is another health problem.

I’ve just been admitted to hospital hopefully they find the problem and fix it .

Apart from RSL I was in great heath until I got shingles in March this year .

Yes NSAIDS are very bad long term with continued use. They lead to an exponential 40% after 40, 50% after 50, 60% after 60 increase in dementia

As Bananas says, Ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory drug, so it refuses inflammation which reduces pain. However, inflammation has a purpose, it can help heal; the inflammation can be caused by the extra molecules drawn to the site of an injury, which are required for healing.

There are different kinds of pain that are treated in different ways, so hopefully the hospital can get to the bottom of what is causing the pain and treat it appropriately.
