Lyrica caused more nerve pain

Hi I have been on lyrica for 10 years for a drug(macrodantin) induced nerve pain.... over the years it worked well ....got down from 150x2 to 75 once a day. Tried last year to take it down to 25 my pain came back so jumped up to 75 again. On the night I did that Ibgot pretty much immediately a roll of nerve pain down my spine into my pudendal nerve. Now I have nerve pain in that area! Has anyone had an adverse reaction where lyrica caused more pain? I know now that I should not have gone down and up so quickly especially at the lower end! Please any advice? Thanks Sara

I came off the drug having been on it for years as I did not think it was working for my Thalamic Pain Syndrome. I I must say that the only thing that it did for me was put on weight. Since I have been off I have lost 3 stone. I am sorry for what you are experiencing but I did not like the drug from the beginning

Not much help but they are one of those long term meds that works in this way ...😕 you have done well reducing but I can't help feeling you may need to replace it for a bit have you got health professional to discuss this with ......I've stopped them overnight due to my pain so bad making me sick ...not great idea but have to take with a actual pain relief also... and nefapam and other options etc best wishes x
