Nefopam sweats?

Hi there, I'm new here & would appreciate some feedback on Nefopam please. About 2 months ago (approx) I detoxed from Tramadol 200mg slow release tablets which I was taking twice per day. My GP transferred me onto Nefopam 30mg (90mg 3 times per day). I have to say, I feel grim! My pain has returned in spades & I just feel so ill just in general. One of my symptoms is hot flushes. Even sitting totally inactive I am suddenly drenched in sweat from head - toe. I am thoroughly embarrassed when I am outside as it is worse when I am going about my day to day routine. It actually feels like I am menopausal again (God forbid!) Anyone else having this symptom? Thank you in advance.

Hi emerald 65

I am just trying to distract my self from the nightmare of unrelenting pain and came across your post.

I was supposed to be doing research to se if anyone has uses a heart rate monitor to help with pacing and saw NEFOPAM.

I am on the same dosage am 55.

I have to sit beside a personal a/c unit day and night because like you I can just be sat here and am soaking wet head to toe . It’s as if I have been caught in heavy rain and need to change clothes. At the moment I have a carer twice a day as I need more help.

I had just put it down to my age 55 and don’t know if I am waiting/going through or finished the menopause.

The doctor won’t do a blood test and they all give different answers because “everyone is different “. Excellent but it doesn’t me. Plus my electric bill.

So yes! Me too and I would never have put the two together.

Thank you for that and a bigger thank you as the distraction has worked beautifully.

I will leave my question for another day.

Amazing!

I stopped taking this dreadful medications about 6 weeks ago & the sweats and fast heart rate have gone. I'm not saying I feel great but not having to deal with the side effects of this drug have made my life much more manageable.
