You say: "I have now had bad back now for 18months or more since i fracture my sacrum". How long does it take for the sacrum to heal?

To fracture your sacrum that area was subjected to a fair bit of force which would have travelled up the spine. The spine would have compensated for the force by doing all sorts of unpredictable things.

You need to see a chiropractor. They can give a second opinion with which to take back to your doctor. I also suspect that the pelvis is also slightly tilted and needs to be realigned. When I see a McTimony chiropractor I often get my pelvis re-aligned.

you say: "spine stenosis". Do you mean spinal stenosis. Spinal stenosis is potentially a serious condition.

You need an MRI scan. What happens next depends on what is found in the MRI scan.

Hi! I suffered a spontaneous fracture of my sacrum 4yrs ago and that was also due to osteoporosis. The fracture healed after about 10weeks but the nerve damage never did. I now suffer with severe chronic pain that has proven difficult to manage. So my story sounds rather similar to yours.

Unfortunately, I cannot stand or walk without my crutches and I need to use a wheelchair to mobilise. I have had some help tho with my pain. I was referred to the Pain Management clinic who have found me a decent combination of meditations and also ways to cope with the pain.

The one thing I would suggest is that you ask for an MRI scan so you can see what’s going on with the bones and also for a referral to a pain clinic to help you manage your pain.

I hope you get some joy with the GP, keep us posted 💕

I hope you get some help soon. I had to finish work and as a secondary school teacher that really killed me career wise and financially. I was so lucky tho as I managed to retire on ill health so I got my teachers pension. Best of luck xx
