Loss of job not working- building structure

How many of you have lossed your job or not working because of chronic pain. How does one rebuild there life with such a gaping hole in it? What things do people use to distract from pain?

I was an Engineer, with an element of manual work thirty years ago, I became ill and was medically retired. I am now retired at sixty eight and now I look back at my past and admit life is very full of expectations however something can throw a googly and that knocks us back.

Have you been seen by a Rhumi or Pain Clinic, so you can control your Pain. ?

What is causing your Chronic Pain, what has been suggested ?

Had 3 mva's.. second one disabled me at 26 years old and I lost my career.. friends.. family didn't help.. had to find new family.. yep Im there, BUT 20 plus years later.. Ive grown from it.. it freakin sucked but Im much stronger mentally. Best thing that helps me through every minute of my day r my dogs n trying to find anything in my day funny to ME ! Chronic pain does suck.. just don't isolate urself because that will make it worse., plus just staying in the moment.. making too much planning.. can make that chronic pain worse with stress. Plus.. u got lots of people here in this community who r in ur spot.
