Knee injury

So this happened just over 4 weeks ago but I was trying to get into bed,and it’s low down so I normally just crawl into bed everyday,this day I went to get into bed I bent my right knee and I’m not entirely sure what but I fell to the floor and I couldn’t move it,the pain was horrendous,I was shaking I couldn’t bend it,straighten it out it was horrible,I went to A&E they gave me crutches and a splint to help me walk as they said I’ve got water on my knee and think I’ve torn my ligament...

it’s now 4 weeks later,I’ve not worn my splint for about 3weeks,I can walk,go up and down the stairs bend my knee and it doesn’t give me any pain,however I cannot stretch me leg out fully as the top of my knee (the muscles) hurt and I’m worried because I don’t want to stretch it out and do more damage to it. It’s still fairly swollen but I have no pain at all. I’ll insert a picture of both my knees but if anyone’s got any advice on learning how to get it moving/stretching or walking properly it would mean so much!

Sounds like you need a MRI to determine the precise pathology and best course of treatment.

Magnetic Resonance Imagery. It is a type of x-ray that can show ligament tears, meniscus problems,etc and can be ordered by an orthopedic surgeon or possibly your GP. Knowing the exact problem can determine the most effective treatment.

I've actually been to the physio this week for arthritis in both knees. I have fluid in both so they're very swollen, and one collapsed, leaving me on the kitchen floor!. Do you have an email address that you could give me?
