Nice to meet you Bananas5, yes I would like that very much. Then it may be easier to live with the pain if we support, & care, & empathise, with each other. As I have found that the which I live with, separates me from people, then I become isolated & depressed!

Hi Donna welcome . Everybody deals with pain differently depending what is wrong with you I take a lot of med as I have cervical myelopathy and after op to slow it down it's with me till I die some meds work with people different to others . Clive

Hi Clive, I had Myelopathy, & had a Laminectomy of my cervical spine, now I am healed 100%. I have so much pain in my body each day though, I get depressed, & am lonely because of this pain. You sound like a very lovely man. Its a pleasure to meet you!

Hi, Hidden I am sorry I did not reply before now. I actually just found your message, once again.
Thanx for being there for me as I an very isolated, & lonely here. I am listening to music via YouTube while I type to you. I had to catch one of my kitties last nite. Bengal ran out the front door, I don't let him go outside unless I walk him on a lead.
I can not run with all my damaged body parts. I watched my Bengal running in front of a car, & I screamed. Thank GOD the driver stopped quickly, or my Fur baby may not be here now. The reason for my telling you this, being that, I am chair bound today. The friction, & fast movements as I struggled to try & chase, & catch Bengal, was too much for my body, the way I am.
Makes my future, sure look bleak, & sad hey? 
Oh!!! I better stop talking like this, as all in this Thread have their Mountains to climb-. I hope & pray that being here will be a- Fruitful, & Rewarding experience, as we are all living our lives together now, I believe. A chain of- Pain, Bravery, Care, Compassion, Empathy, Love, & Friendship! xo

welcome! I take medication, do physio, and use cbd oil. also pet love helps! sometimes it's about just getting through the current crisis, like breathing through the worst then taking care of myself with some comedies, a good book, and a cat snuggle or two. stay strong!

Thanx for helping me, & sharing. I have rescued Fur Babies here with me, & I adore them. Sometimes the pain & tiredness which I experience, makes thing quite difficult for me to do as I would, if I were healed. They are usually patient, yet the kitties can be loud at times, & I get very anxious when I feel too pressured.
Also I love working out, & power walking, but since the Major Spinal Op. I have to take it easy, as I think I may disrupt the, Rods & Screws, that are holding C3-C7 in my neck, in place.
P.S.
No, I don't look like Frankenstein, either, so there! ...They are inside, not on the outside!

I felt guilty about having cats because I rescued them when I was relatively well. as I got sicker I worried I wasn't giving them a good life, but two of my cats came up to me from the street and basically said, 'take me home with you!' one of them was going blind when I rescued him, the other was fairly clean and friendly and followed different people just hoping someone would take her home (I think someone went to the lake to dump her). I play with them when I can and snuggles are always welcome. they know when we are ill and just like people they react, but I know they love us fiercely and always forgive. sometimes I think they freak out because they want to fix it and can't. try to be gentle with yourself. one of the reasons I tend to prefer cats to humans is that they don't judge.

I do take Vitamins, I am currently taking a Cell Renew, Multi Vitamin. I am only going onto my 2 bottle, as soon as its delivered. It works, but I will need to stay on it. I showed it to my GP, & he agreed that I could safely take it. Its made in the UK, & I am in Australia. I was born here, & I have Irish, & English Heritage.
I will try & follow your advice!

Hi Donna7, heed with care with multi vitamins, you may be topping up some that you don’t need. Some vitamins can be toxic if your levels get too high mainly fat soluble ones and some b vitamins. I’d advise you to do some research on this and look at your current diet to see what vitamins you are taking in. B12 isn’t toxic as your body expells what it doesn’t use, folic acid stores can be a problem if you have genetic MTHFR mutations like myself so I take 5mg doses when I have a 1,000mg b12 injection as they work together. You’ll be amazed if you look into each one separately. Good luck

Awwh, how caring you are, you have gr8 knowledge concerning Vitamins. I will take your advise' I did ask my GP about the Vits I mentioned. Should I think bout taking any others on top, I may message you (if that's ok) & ask you about them, first.

Hi Donna, yes feel free to message me, I’ve been self treating for 5 years now, I went to a multi disciplinary pain management 2 years ago and they were amazed with what I was doing, and said they couldn’t have even suggested all I had done, one of the other patients collared me on the way out asking for my advice 😂 . My theory was everything else had failed so I helped myself,nothing to lose and everything to gain 😊

I have osteoarthritis, I use turmeric with black pepper for the pain along with regular exercise and stretching, not sure if it helps with all types of pain though.

Hi Donna. How long did you have myelopathy before you had op plus you are young to get it as well as pain do you have problems with arms and legs or bladder and there is no cure for it . I got mine through a accident which took nearly 20 yrs to rectify. Anyway it's been nice to talk to you and if you need any more advice feel free to contact me 😃x

I had an accident when I was 20yrs old, 20 years ago. I fell down a flight of 12 cement steps in a beautiful park, in Sydney. I only remember standing on the top step, I had a quick thought that it would be horrible to fall down these steps.
Then all I remember was looking at the bichamin, & me on my hands & knees.
I had badly damaged both knees, my lower spine, & my hands . I have had chronic pain for 20 yrs since & most recently the Spinal surgery, which was a Miracle, all staff told me, & I have been healed from Myelopathy.
But not the Osteoarthritis, which has now become a total Nightmare for me.
Plus the agony in my lower spine , plus my left hand, on a daily basis. I had my left hand start to go freezing, like it were in the freezer, or frost bite on an daily basis. I was sent to a Neurologist, as my GP told me that I had Carpel Tunnel . I tell you the agony I went through with my left hand was agony & like I was touching broken glass when I used it. Also it ached no stop, I was told by the Neurologist, that I had something wrong in my neck, & sent for a MRI scan, once the results came back to my Neurosurgeon, I was told that my spinal cord was being strangled by my damaged spine, & was already permanently damaged, he told me he would operate but he could not promise me anything. After an emergency 8 hour operation. I spent 2 days in hospital then discharged, as I was up walking around the day after my Op. All were amazed.
Now, in sharing this amazing Miracle with you, the negative is, I am left with all this Chronic pain. I do not take Narcotics, as they are too easy to over dose on. I take- Panadeine Forte, Cymbalta, & Mobic. I have regular blood tests, to make sure I am not being damaged by them.

Sorry to hear what you went through mine was 20yrs 1995: accident arm pulled in machine then till 2013 I was told I was misdiagnosed and needed emergency operation to remove c4c5;my spine was damaged because I had cervical myelopathy and there is no cure. Have you got support of your family . Clive X😁

Sadly Longsider, I do not have any support from any family members. Shocking isn't, now! I may cry if I keep mentioning it, so I will not.
I am ok, just thinking too much now. I will go have lunch, as it's 1:30 PM here. Listen to some music, & give some cuddles, to my, Fur Babies!

I had muscle, & bone grafts, plus the steel Rods, & steel Screws.
I had fused C3-C4 though.
I hear the steel moving, or what ever, on occasion, horrible! It doesn't hurt me, just weird, I hope it is still strongly in place?
I suppose I am being paranoid, now! I think too much
I am going to research, the cage that you are talking about, it as sounds interesting, in a Surgical way!

I’ve started pregabalin and for first two months it really helped but I feel I need to up it as it’s not so effective now but am afraid I will have to keep upping it and the side effects on what I take now are loss of balance which I suffer from with my peripheral neuropathy already and I don’t think I could get about if my balance was to get worse hope you don’t mind my asking this question

Baclofen is good for twitching I take that and prebabilin 300 twice a day

Yep I know this now!
My Neurosurgeon, plus Hospital Surgical Team told me. My Neurosurgeon was stunned! I told him he preformed a Miracle on me. As I was told by all in the Hospital that I am a- Miracle!
I am still stunned about that one!
In the detailed report from the Hospital from a-z was written- once the spinal obstruction was lifted off the spinal cord, the cord went back to correct colour, & pulsated normally.
I had 24 students wanting to come examine me, after the operation, all because of the Miracle!
I had nursing staff stunned that I was up & out of bed the day after the operation, & I was asked to walk up & down 18 stair in the hospital, twice! By the Physio, would you believe! She looked stunned as well.
When being discharged, I had the Hospital Chemist come & ask me- Do I take anything other than my prescribed medication?
I told him about what I take for my, bone & muscle health, he asked me-What do I take,? What dose do I take,? How long have I been taking these,? What are the brand,? Where do I purchase them from?.
Last thing he said to me before I was wheeled, down to go home was- Do not stop taking them!
I told him, OK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
True experience not that long ago, really!

It's Osteoarthritis, in my left thumb joint, as my GP had me go & have an x-ray of my left hand. Looks like I am having a, Steroid injection for the pain in my thumb joint, soon! Thank GOD! its agony, I can hardly rest with the pain, nor use my left hand, without crying, after using it!!
I am so concerned about the cold you have in your body, as I had that in both my hands, before my Spinal Op. It was corrected once the pressure was lifted off my spinal cord. I am in prayer for you, ok. I care! <3

Have you tried Swimming, that can help you control your pain. As it works on different parts of the body and tones up muscles, if you cannot swim, you could try exercising in the water. The water gives support and also gives the joints resistance sufficient to improve movement. Warm compresses will also increase the blood supply to ant inflicted joints etc

Donna.i got the cold top half of body when I sweat I lost muscle tone in left side of back and on other side hair but it's all come back I was worried when bladder started they thought I had cancer biopsies came back abnormal I was seeing a Macmillan nurse then had second test and it was ok I was so confused I felt I wanted out I couldn't take anymore I found the strength to do research to go to neurology hosp and the rest is history,so when you have a bad day all ways think there is someone worse than ourselves we have both been through it and come out other side and I listened to your story and I'm glad we met each other and I can call my friend x😀😀

Hi, Longy, I have been half asleep, & stressed, for the last 2 days. Sorry I am just getting back to you now.
Yes, Longy, it's like this- I had already joined this Health Forum, plus I was still a member of an Australian, Health Forum, for over 2 years.
I had no planes to withdraw my membership from the AU/Forum. Yet I chose to abruptly, 2 days ago. The control, & bad vibes, were seriously concerning me, there. I mentioned this Forum to others there, & had the roof fall in on me, so to speak. They deleted my message, with their poor excuse to why they chose to do so.
Then it was on, I had one message after another removed in Forum. Ok, in sharing this with you. I must admit, this Forum so far, suits me much better that the other one ever did.
Anyway, to top it all off, I had private issues come out of no where, that topped, the whole thing off. I stayed up enjoying your company, all nite, & into the day light. Well, I had to go, & get, over Whelmed by all, (not by you, no way) so I have been trying to deal with- My problems, their problems, others problems, & lack of sleep)!!!!!
I seem to be coping better now, as my poor body, & brain. Went on strike, about, 2PM this afternoon 19/11/2018. I went into an exhaustion recovery sleep!!! I woke up thinking it was the next day???? Duhhhh
It wasn't far off though, I had slept like a lump of led, for 5 hours. I could have gone back to sleep, believe me. My Fur Babies needed feeding, loving, & I needed fuel (food) !!
By the way, if after reading my letter to you, I'm not sure if Bionic suits me now
I may seem a tad Bionic, at times though!

No, I think, my high heels caused the fall, yet who knows?? I never felt a thing, I went down like a bird getting shot down out of the sky, or so it seemed??

I don't have Myelopathy any more Longy I was healed from it & Doctors called me A MIRACLE!
I have Osteoarthritis in all my damaged body parts now from the accident!! I was giving you my Testimony, of the Miracle. All Myelopathy gone! 100% I have had 20 years getting to the point of his pain.
I was extremely abused for many years by my x & ended up with PTSD, & worked in MH until I has the lower back pain get too much. I am on pain killers, & natural healing. I have become stiff in my joints as I have had no help, due to no family help, nor care. I am now starting to become more positive, & wanting to regain a life outside of being a depressed hermit but am living on Government Disability at the moment.
I am usually a private person, so telling you all this not my normal.

Hi Donna. Nothing the drs can do just got to get on with it as long as I don't end up in a wheelchair I can knack it do you take vitamin d for your bones I would have thought the sun would help x
Yes, I take Vitamin d, my GP is Indian, & he believes in Vitamins. My last GP did not like Vitamins & was no help that way for me. This one is only been my GP for about 6 months, & has helped me a lot so far. He prescribed a very high dose of Vitamin d for a few months. This helps with reducing the pain. Now I am on a lower dose full time. May I ask you Longy what age you are please? If you do not wish to tell me I understand.
My oldest cat Hanna, is 24 yrs old, she is really stressing me here. I'm not sure how much longer she will be with me?
I moved her from here room in the Laundry tonite, & she is in my lounge room closer to me.
My 3 Pomeranian dogs sleep in the Laundry, & spend their days in the back yard, playing, & what ever they do under the house?. I have a big playpen for animals, which I purchased for my Ruby when she was a puppy. I fixed it up & made it comfy & nice for Hanna tonite as she is going a little weak, & not her usual self.
Hanna is my first recued animal, she has & is a wonderful girl, never been sick in 24 years. She still isn't sick, just frail, I hate seeing her like this, it upsets me so much.

I had an accident when I was 20yrs old, 20 years ago. I fell down a flight of 12 cement steps in a beautiful park, in Sydney. I only remember standing on the top step, I had a quick thought that it would be horrible to fall down these steps.

Hey, it's not morning in the UK, is it?
I have a morning call from, The Red Cross, ladies each morning now. I had some Anxiety Attacks recently, & phoned LifeLine services. I have PTSD, from all the years of abuse. I have shocking Nite Mares when I am unwell, or very stressed, & overwhelmed. I was getting far too isolated, & had a horrible viruses recently. Which in turn made me run down, as no one helps me, or ever phones me, I have 4 sisters, & 1 brother. None care!
I needed someone kind to talk to. The LifeLine Lady, was so lovely, we got on excellent & she told me about, The Red Cross, & gave their P/N. I have have a RedCross Lady phone me every morning 7:30-8AM, just a quick call to make sure that I am ok. I feel like crying now, as I needed that so much.
I am hidden here, have been for 8 years now. It's just an old rental house. I have no transport, I had all stolen from me years ago by the abusers. I would rather have nothing than be abused, EVER again!
Sorry, just needed to tell you that, now you know a little more!

I think I will never be serious again, as it's far too depressing!

Hi, Longy I'm back, sorry I rushed off, the way that I did, its all good now!
It's 2:24PM Thursday here, I am resting now after doing the morning things that needed doing. There are always more things in need of doing, it seems to be never ending?
Well, I suppose with a large Fur Baby family, what do I expect! I need a baby sitter sometimes, but not for them, for me!!!

I am just a playful happy, hurting human-being! I find that being playful & silly, is wonderful Therapy, it releases the Endorphins, that heal our bodies!
I have always been playful, in the right company, all my life. I am most relaxed when I am just saying things, that are fun, & I just go with the flow. Don't worry I can be serious too, believe me & you will know when I get triggered by something, as I just disappear, until I sort it out in my, emotions, & mind!
I have a high IQ, yet I am down to earth, & can get hurt easily sometimes, if I am not on my guard.
If I offend anyone unintentionally, I will always apologize, yet in saying all this, I am no door mat, either. I hope it's ok to talk like this in this Thread?
I suppose, there are pearls of wisdom, amongst the playfulness, & what ever chat going on here?

My closest friend died, she had a heart attack, while going to visit her family long distance. It has taken me a long time grieving, I may never get totally over her passing. It was a shock to me, & her family, my Mum passed on the same year, Mum first, & then Denise. I have had too much heart ache, losing my best friend, & my parents. I was with Dad first while he passed on. Then Mum years later. I had a boyfriend whom passed away, which was so horrific the way it happened. I went into shock over his passing. He was only 29 yrs old.
I was starting to wonder, why on earth am I sharing all this with you?? Now I remember, you asked me about best friends. I better stop this chatting at the moment, as I may go into, stinking thinking, if I don't stop!

While waiting as you most probably know by now, I stumbled upon your Thread & follower your time with Tracy, I have offered my love, & support, to her as she was wanting it.
I am a MHW, Longy, just not working due to Chronic pain, & still recovering from the successful Miracle Operation, which healed me of, Myelopathy 100%. I am A Pentecostal Christian, whom is surrendered to the love, & will, of GOD in my life.
My Neurosurgeon agreed that it was a miracle, he never even gave me a chance of being healed at all! My spinal cord was showing signs of damage & was ready to go, fully. This why I no sooner met the NS that I had Emergency Surgery I 1/2 months later. Had I left it any longer, I would have been Paralysed from the neck down!
Ok enough said for one night!

Hi Longy, it's 12:32 Pm 23/11/2018 here at the moment. I just ate my lunch. I try to eat a balanced, healthy diet, of foods that I enjoy eating. I am a Vegetarian/Pescatarian, which means that, I sometimes eat Fish. I hate eating animals, I can NOT, tolerate, or watch, animal cruelty of any kind, I get angry & sad.
I am an animal activist, in a limited way at the moment. When I am financially
blessed then I will be able to help more than I do now. My rescued Fur Babies, plus donations, plus PRAYERS! are my contributions at the moment.
I have loved, & tried to help animals all my life from a Tiny child. My Mum & Dad, has many animals on our property, where I lived all my life, until leaving home.
I always believed in Fairies, from a Tiny child, (not now tho) maybe it's the Irish in me? I just love looking at beautiful Fairies. They are cute & can fly, playful, impish at times, & magical, all in one. I just adored them as a child, & always wanted to find them. I would sleep under Dads great BIG Mulberry Tree, growing on one of the blocks of land that we owned. We had an Original Federation House, with 3 blocks of vacant land.
One of my Grandmothers on my German & Irish side, was a property owner. Ninny had a lot of Houses in different suburbs. The house that we owned had been 2 Houses with the land next to them. For some reason the second House was pulled down?
Which in turn gave our House, all the land beside it. I grow up playing in a wilderness, & I loved it! My parents were good parents & both Christians, Dad always looked after the property very well. Mu grew every type of Vegetable, fruit, & herbs that you can imagine. Both Parents looked after them well, My Mum was an old fashioned cook, yet I did love eating her cooking, & food!

This has grown, I was talking about the Fairies, now I have written a book here!!
Anyway, I waited for the Fairies every day under that Mulberry Tree, I wanted to see a Fairy!! I never did, though, I still believed in them as a child even though I never saw them!

Hi Donna, when you were a child and your teeth came out did you never put them under rug then the fairies came and took them and left money when I was a child they left a silver sixpence coin but I never saw the fairies so like you I'm still looking 😍 now the angels look after us😀x

I agree with you Longy, The Angels & Abba Father do look after us now. You do not have to go, you are my friend, & I have no other friends, seriously I do not! But I can not make you stay, friendship is a choice, I am allowed to cry. Just remember that I am in a Pain Concern Thread, & just like you I am in pain, for many reasons. I just woke up & this is my worse time in the day for me dealing with body pain, emotional pain, & isolation.

I fixed the problem with YouTube if you would like to enjoy the music, its sorta nice. Music Therapy, is what help me daily, may not be for you? Plus day dreaming, about fun & positive things, plus pure nonsense, fantasy to each their own! xo
