Drowsiness

I am taking longtec shortec pregabalin digoxin apixaban

Digoxin pregabalin and apixaban being reasonably newish ones although it is a few months now and can anyone who knows anything about these please tell me if they know what ones causes bad drowsiness I could sleep the clock around any help would be grateful

Pregabalin often causes side effects such as drowsiness, dizziness, incoordinatation,etc. I assume you are taking it for chronic pain. What dose and what kind of pain are you using it for? Dig and apixaban shouldn't cause dwowsiness.

I have just looked I am taking 300mg twice daily and yes I am taking it for chronic pain I now can’t walk at all or get my body up straight with out now like bad muscle spasms down thigh and buttocks

I have spinal stenosis fractures on spine osteoporosis and all sorts going on with back I believe a fall and then a blackout finished me if I have been told by spinal consultant that I won’t walk again and that I am one of the 20percent in the uk that this can happen to as l told him that I couldn’t understand that in this day and age they. Couldnt find a pain killer I am 72 years of age but still have got brain box or hope I have lol😂😂i haven’t got the same amount of pain as I did a year ago but would be lovely to be pain free for awhile but definitely don’t like this drowsiness it feels as if I’m not asleep but not awake it’s horrible so I will look into pregabalin tomorrow

Now a bit more concerned didn’t wake up until 9 this morning that’s when carer came felt awful and out of breath getting there now so couldn’t have been as bad as I was beginning to think

Hi Pregabelin can cause drowsiness. If you look at the patient leaflet inside the box it will list the possible side effects. This is true of all medication. Why not ask your consultant to refer you for neutral stimulation? It can reduce your pain by loads. Good luck e with everything
