PIP and ESA assessors ARE lying

PIP and ESA assessors do lie. John Pring, who runs disabilitynewsservice.com, now has about 300 examples. I emailed him yesterday to ask if he needed more, but he says that 300 should be enough. He has given this info to the Work and Pensions Select Committee Inquiry into PIP and ESA Assessments.

A different campaigner has done an FOI on this subject, and may actually be getting somewhere.

Who knows whether any of this will do any good, but I thought I'd post the info.

I expect the Government will say the usual thing such as most are done fairly and it's only a few which fall through the system etc. It's all spin and they aren't going to change things as it's all set up to try and save money after all. And to continue their idealogical warfare against the poor and sick. x

Yup. They have already said that. Sigh.

Well what do you expect when you have a government who lie and mislead people. Like for instance we have learned that our local council are cutting back the help they give is to be reduced to helping the Disabled with learning difficulties is being reduced. If you ask the government about the help they are giving this group of people they will say they have increased the funds they give.

It's good to know that there is action on this issue, buyout sadly I'm sure hypercat54 is right about the government's response.

IDS is the worst, he makes stats up, either he's lying or he's incompetent. Either way he & McVey must go!

This & the previous Tory government are despicable traitors. They're systematically destroying the NHS & DWP, both of which made the UK the envy of the world in the past.

Hoping for a change, catmag.

I know they lie ,I used to have interviews in my home due to agoraphobia and the last meeting I decided to hide my mobile and record the interview ,when I hear from them saying things completely different I played the recording and my claim was kept in place but I heard nothing about what happened to the lying assessor, I would advise anyone who has an appointment to take someone with them to film and record the interview as I have heard some real horror stories of claims being cut due to the assessors lying.

Yup. 0 points on PIP, down from standard on both. I recorded it.

The thing is they have to meet fail targets and if they don't then they are displined or dismissed. It's not all the individual assessors deciding to be liars but the way the system forces them to behave. It's the system which needs changing.

In my case it was the assessor lying which I was able to prove.

Yes I understand the assessor was lying. What I meant was maybe they have to lie to meet their targets? Not saying it's right or doubting your word. x

Too right they are liars. It'd be better if their replies were proof read. e.g. I must have missed the ESA mentioned in the last correspondence. I've never been on it. It also shows their lack of intelligence, stating I received it between July and June. mm has the calendar changed overnight whilst I was asleep?Dave
