I've been having pain in my arms for a few months now, started in my right wrist to begin with, then my left . More recently pain is from the elbows down into my hands. Pain is constant. Is it worth seeing a doctor
Arm pain: I've been having pain in my arms for... - Pain Concern
Arm pain
I have had that pain on and off for years now, it's called tenosynovitus, it's where due to repetitive movements the synovial fluid has dried out and your tendons grind together and cause tension and pains in the joints, can be excruciating , you just have to rest the tendons and even stop using those movements altogether... I first discovered this many years ago, as a typist,,, they call it,. R.S.I... See a physiotherapist, as there are new treatments available today. You can have injections for it. . Good luck.
Another possibility is that you have a problem further up the system. When I saw a physio for pain in my arms she did a full assessment and found that the problem was actually in my neck. I got some exercises to deal with my neck and the pain in my arm got better.
So it is worth seeing a physio (you might be able to self refer in your area) to find out more about what it could be before you assume that the problem, or the only problem, is your wrist. It could be a combination of several things.
There are so many possibilities its impossible for anyone to diagnose. Yes, it is worth seeing a doctor. Best of luck to you. Blessings
