Neck pain

I have neck pain but have been feeling worse I keep having funny turn where my coordination goes my speech becomes jumbled and I can not think clearly like being drunk without drinking

Hi Muddle. I know that you can get severe pain in the neck and shoulders and occasionally lose your balance when you are suffering from Fibromyalgia. Have you checked this out with your GP?

It may be a good idea, especially if this is a recent occurrence.

Did GP eliminate possible stroke or TIAs?

I have neck pain also. I have a sound in my head like airplanes going over. I do have fibromyalgia and an infected tooth and arthritis in my neck. I have so many issues but these are the ones I'm mentioning in this. Has anyone had a roaring sound in their head??? Scares me.

I understand tinnitus is a ringing sound--my sound is roaring, definitely not bells or ringing. I don't really know if it is called the same. I haven't talked to my doctor about it yet.

Yes mine has been like this for years now like an airplane as you say and yes it drives me mad and yes I too have problems with certain teeth and the back of my neck and it can get very scary, but I have made a point of just getting on with it because there is nothing anyone can do , pregabalin helps, but what else can you do but put up with it , at least in my case they seem to have given up on me almost shrug their shoulders, so I've just got on with it, hard part is keeping the medication to a minimum, also trying to keep moving as much as is possible due to bloody pain and the noise in my head.

Sadly I know there is very little hope and drug's are the only option , I just wish there were better answers for you, and yes for me, Neurologist's are f---ing useless so I avoid them, sorry I have no better answers best Alex

I have paid for acupuncture an Osteopath and chiropractor and had nhs physiotherapist
