My GP stopped my Tramadol after being on it for years, something to do with its being bad with my other medication. Being a type2 diabetic there are fewer medications that I can take. I was referred to the pain clinic but all the consultant told me was that there was nothing else that could be prescribed and for me to try Tens and that I could have as much of it as I like.

Hello vidladdie and sorry to hear about your experience at pain management.
The whole point of management is to do just that....with you of course..manage your pain.
There are alternatives to drugs which I am surprised they didn't talk about.
Pacing yourself so not to over do and have flair ups.
Have you tried acupuncture? Can be very beneficial.
Physio?
Yes TENS machine depending where you pain is.
Hydrotherapy or even just swimming.
Failing all this move to warm country. Pain may not be better but you will have a lovely tan!!
