I have a constant pain in between my chest and my upper back for almost 4 years. I cant exactly locate it as if it is deep in the middle. At first i ignored it. After 2 years i was worried and started my exams. Within 2 years, i have done the following:
CT scan twice
MRI
X ray.
Went to Cardiologist
Rheumatologist
Orthopedist
And general surgery docs
And now psychologist.
All my results were clear thank God!
However all prescribed that its the result of anxiety.
I tried various types of anti inflammatories, anti depressants and other pain killers. The pain is just there. Read in this thread many others have this issue.
Anyone who had this kind of pain and now is over, tell me how and how long you've had this.
Thank you,

There are many different types of pain. If your pain is not responding to anti-inflammatories, then you know it isn't caused by inflammation, if other types of painkillers aren't working, then you know it isn't acute or nosoceptive pain.
Pain is actually all in the brain, we don't actually feel it where our brain tells us it is. Nerves send signals to the brain, and the brain interprets those signals but sometimes they get it wrong. Sometimes the brain thinks there is pain there where there isn't anymore, it just got so used to a previous pain that it keeps the pain loop going.
Have you been referred to a pain clinic? It seems to be the only one missing from your list of who you have seen.
Have you seen a physiotherapist? Could it be a muscle problem or costochondritis or similar caused by poor posture? As long as the posture and anxiety are there, it could keep the problem going.
