Ive tried gabapentin (sorry not sure I spelt that right), co-dyramol, oramorph, acupuncture, physio and taping. Ive had 5 steroid injections with only horrendous side effects and no surgeon will do anything as the operation makes most people worse and I have a 3 year old son who I need to look after. I cant and wont except that this is it for life there has to be something out there that works that ive not tried.

Other than smoking cannabis at night to help relax me I get no relief at all anymore and I cant smoke that all the time lol

Hi there, I have the exactly same thing. Min

what do you use for pain relief if you don't mind me asking?

I'm going to try CBD oil (cannabis oil) for my constant back pain as I'm fed up with taking opiates which work only occasionally. I used to smoke cannabis but the high made me panicky, and the oil has the THC ingredient taken out so you don't get high. Not sure how the doc at the pain clinic will react when I ask for it on prescription....

lol yeah its crazy they are fine injecting steroids into people and giving people morphine but god forbid someone asks for something that I natural and scientifically proven to help pain. I don't mind the "high" it helps me fall asleep, if i don't smoke it i cant sleep at all it helps me relax enough for my body to actually let the painkiller work.

Please can you let me know how it goes? i hope your pain isn't to bad

x

I use heat pad and 32 tablets a day but rest is best. Not possible though is it. I have cam impingment on both sides. Surgeons have told me the same. 3 years on and I've excepted thats it no op. X

in reply to Kieron85

no its not and as much help as I get I'm still my sons main caregiver and have to do as much as I can and then some. omg how do you even cope with it being on both sides?

my hip is always burning so heat pad didn't work for me or ice, I tried lidocaine patches as well but they did nothing my pain is to deep if you know what I mean. I cant take anti inflammatory drugs as I'm allergic to them, I guess I'm just a huge pain in the arse lol

I read on here about CBD I might have a go but its quiet expensive

Lol im the same can't take anti inflammatorys either as I have gastricitus lol. Im a massive pain in the are. Family say I would be put down by now if I was a horse lol. I got referred for CBD on NHS by go. Took a while but they told me I need counselling which im still waiting for. Just have to dig deeper every day to survive. I got a 2year old and she is hard work and a massive daddy's girl so stuck to me like glue. Lucky though that my wife helps me rest but not the case of late. I've been feeling guilty but had no choice my hips wouldn't hold me last week.

that's the thing when they are that age they love you so much and want to spend every second of every day with you , that's cute though. my little one is amazing he gets me my crutches and tells me to do deep breathing and helps me do yoga bless him. So you can get CBD on the NHS? ill have to look into that around here but I'm sure they would say no they don't care about patients around here.

I really want to come off tramadol as it gives me the worst brain ever but I just cant seem to find a painkiller that rivals it . ive only had this a year and a half but I cant imagine having this for life.

I thought about counselling but tbh ive got to many issues and we would never get to me dealing with my hip lol

Try oxycodone. I find the don't damaged your head so much. Trammadol is awful. Cbd oil is expensive. Cheaper to get the real deal

in reply to Zelda007

i tried that it did even less and messed with my morphine unfortunately , yes weed is much cheaper just hate backi

Try the oil

in reply to Zelda007

where is the beat place to get this from?

Need to look on some of the forums. They sometimes have an email address. There are places in the US that ship everywhere. Try asking someone who smokes it if they know. Here in Spain they have associations that around allowed to grow it legally, and you just buy from them. You can then mix it with coconut oil

in reply to Zelda007

that all sounds extremely expensive and without me working or getting much disability we live on nothing as it is, think I may just stick to smoking weed then but thank you

I worked it out to be around the same cost. You could use olive oil. Much more efficient I find than a smoke

in reply to Zelda007

I'm confused now? smoke olive oil lol not sure that's going to do what I want it to lol

Ok confused. Cut main oil with olive oil. Have looked at the cbd online. Terrifically overpriced. Haven't tried olive oil, maybe we can patent it!!!

Hi Kieron85,

What??? You were fefered for CBD via the NHS...?

Was this your doctor, specialist or pain clinic?

I've tried all sorts of prescription painkillers over my 21 years of chronic pain.

I've often asked about CBD etc but the doctors just look at me as if its some modern quirky procedure.....
