Tens machine??

I have been given a tens machine from my hospital. Nurse attached the pads. After using on low for around 40 minutes and pain seems to be worse. May I add its for cervical stenosis. Any suggestions or advice? Thankyou in advance x

TENS seems to help some patients but its worth a try and its very safe. It provides temporary pain relief but unfortunately it doesnt help cure it. Did your doctor prescribe you any pain medication? I suggest you take it 30 minutes before you switch on the machine so both medication and procedure work together to achieve more pain relief. Goodluck!

Most tens machines have a few cycles- I presume if the nurse set you up , then it was correct - but certainly worth checking out. It could have been used with someone else previously on a different cycle??

I find it good for lower back pain and sciatica.

Thankful for your reply. The machine is probably not new but the pads are. I tried it on all the different settings. Will keep trying xx

Thankyou. Yes I'm still on all my medications. I'm just going to keep trying for a few days. She did say it may not work. Oh the joys of pain 😕 x

Also try it in different places because a few inches can make a difference. There is also a way of changing the waves the one set of waves can be very painful for some people it should tell you in the manual how to change them. If you don't have a manual try to get one off the Internet. Every machine is different the one that I found the best they discontinued but the company very kindly found the exact waves numbers and I was able to set my new one up which was great. The company is natures gate and even if you don't have their machine they will be able to give you some advice. They supply a lot of hospital physio departments so it might be one of there machines.

My machine is a your tens 2. Has a few different ways to use. Not really helping with overall pain but the boost selection on low is like a small massage. Say 3 today so will keep trying. Thanks for replying xx
