Need help with Morton neuroma pain what do I do?

So I had the injection on the 19th of this month, now I can't put my foot on the floor. I'm walking on the side of my foot or my heal, because when I put it on the ground it feels like something sharp is digging inside my foot.. I don't know what to do any more. Any ideas

Hi Sararawrr

I Sympathise with you I had the same problem and had the Morton Neuroma removed through surgery two years ago But in the past six to eight months I started to have pain in the same area of the foot after further scans injection it has now been explained what is causing the pain .What I now have is a Stump Neuroma what it is when the damaged nerves were cut out etc one of the nerves is trying to connect with its other half and with all its movements has created a lump at the end , So the surgery is planned to remove all of the damage area .but this time surgery will be done from underneath the foot not like the last time when surgery was done on top of the foot .So the answer to your question is Surgery but I would discuss about underfoot surgery because if I had known about what could happen I would have insisted removing the M N as I have just explained.Further Information on Morton Neuroma you can find on Google So I wish you all the best if you need any further help please do not hesitate to contact me .

Hi Sararaw injections are not the answer you may get some short time pain relief but I would still be pushing for surgery good luck

I too have a mortons neuroma in my right foot, to start I thought it was one of my dogs hair under the skin, went to Drs who looked couldn't see anything there but oh boy if they pressed on it yikes look out. I had a scan of my foot in the hospital but by the time my appt came in it had settled down, I also have flat feet which doesn't help wearing special insoles to try and relieve the pain, cold compress helps for a short time wiggling your toes, soaking your feet and little walks might help, the only cure I've read about is surgery but it sounded to drastic.

Good luck
