Hi everyone I had such a banging headache after a very very long trip to and from France via ferry and all motor ways. Anyway got home at 10 ish and too two 500mg paracetamols around say 11ish pm night time. I then drove two hours more back to my own house and arrived there around 10 o'clock am morning, I then asked my mum to do me two solphadines dissolveable ones. Will I be ok and safe? As there's around 11 hours between them? I've also taken another two solphadines now at 9:55pm so almost 12 hours difference

Just wondering if I should be worried about taking paracetamol around 11ish pm night time then two solphadines next morning around 10/10:30am next morning. Help if possible going out of my mind with worry thank uou

Shouldn't be too much of a problem given those time differences.

Travel headaches can be brought on by not hydrating enough. Next time bring plenty of bottles of water and sip often.

Enjoy the wine.😆

Hi,

You should be fine, especially if you took the pills roughly 12 hours apart. For future reference, it's always a good idea to eat something as well as staying hydrated, like Madlegs1 said (with water mostly, LOL).

Take care hope it was a successful trip.

The rule is 4 hours between paracetamol containing products (it will say this on the packet - so it may be an idea to read the packet next time) so you will be fine. As the others have said travel headaches are often dehydration. I always risked dioralyte sachets with me when I travel - so it's the first thing I try if I get a headache.

in additional to making sure that you are hydrated enough, I would also have a look at the position you are sitting in. This could also be muscle spasms in your neck which will causes headaches as well.

And instead of taking the paracetamol after the pain starts, next time try taking it before. So before you set off take paracetamol with your coffee (for some reason caffeine enhances paracetamol) and then keep taking it every four hours.

But equally, have a look at what is causing the pain, maybe seeing a physio or similar who can advise on posture. Car seats are not designed for individuals, but for the 'average' and we all know that no one is actually average!

Thanks everyone for the feedback!

Yes the trip was a success and my boy had a good critique from the show judge very promising. Dunkirk looked amazing would have loved to have stayed longer.

Just the trip seemed like forever, which was exhausting for both of us dog included!!

Yes regarding the solphadines and paracetamol I took two paracetamols at 11ish night time and when I arrived to my own house I took two solphadines around 10ish morning when I arrived home. My head was completely throbbing 😩
