I'm kind of freaking out my eye look yellow to me but everyone else is telling me no. So I wanted to ask people whom I didn't know, who would give me a answer and not try to make me worry.

Incredibly difficult to tell from a picture.... Don't know what your eyes look normally! Also we are not doctors so can not diagnose.

If you are worried go see optician or GP.

I wish I could post another picture of what they look like from a distant. But it only offers one upload.

Hi! I can see a little bit of yellow on the outside of your eyeball but that can be normal, I've seen yellowing caused by a liver problem (jaundice) and it tends to be the whole eyeball and not just the edge and it's really obvious too...if you have any other symptoms such as pain, itching etc I would pop to the Drs or walk in and ask if someone could take a quick look...you could also ask a pharmacist. There can be lots of reasons that eyes appear yellow that aren't serious, so I'd give it 24hrs and see if it goes by itself, drink water avoid alcohol and see! hope that reassures you a bit!xxx

I had an ultra sound of my liver, and other upper organs 2 months ago and blood work everything came back good. I'm just wondering if I could be anemic. Because I had to cut gluten and dairy out of my diet. I read that anemia and vitamin b12 cause yellowing as well. Wondering if I'm low on that. I also have a lot of allergies and sinus problems so I'm wondering if that could be a cause as well because my eyes have been irritated as you can tell. I don't drink so that shouldn't be a problem lol thanks again for the advice and comfort!

Just to reassure you, anaemia is generally when you are low in Iron, and neither gluten containing products or dairy are big sources of iron.

Hard to tell colours from your eye photo, but it didn't really look yellow to me. I've seen jaundiced eyes and they really can be very yellow, along with a definite yellowness to your skin tone. If your blood work and ultrasound done a couple of months ago were fine, and your doctor isn't concerned, then I think thats another thing that should reassure you.

If you're worried that it may be jaundice you should go see your doctor. Call and make an appointment.

Hello Hope 529, from the picture your eyes look fine to me, generally when speaking of yellow eyes it is the whites that go yellow, usually all over and can be the sign of many things even certain drugs can cause it. You are right to be alert to it and if concerned about your own eyes go to your GP. They usually go very yellow, similar to sunshine if there is a problem. Hope this helps, I certainly would not worry if my eyes looked as clear as yours but I am not a doctor. Take care

I had an ultra sound of my liver, and other upper organs 2 months ago and blood work everything came back good. I'm not sure if much can change in 2 months. I'm just wondering if I could be anemic. I would recommend a visit to an optician rather than a doctor, at least at first. Opticians specialise in eyes. Doctors don't.

If you need to be seen by a doctor then an optician will tell you so, and should give you information, and hopefully a letter, that you can give to your doctor.

I've been about a month ago. He said he wouldn't have noticed if I didn't say anything. He said if you look for it then you'd notice a tint but he wouldn't say it's jaundice. My eye exam was fine. He said not to worry. Thanks for the reply!

This doesn't look like jaundice - my aunt had jaundice for a while, and her eyes were yellow all over, skin too. I know it's early in the year yet, but I wondered if it could be pollen? I find daffodils set me off, and I'm starting to feel a bit of hayfever already.

I have bad allergies all year. I wake up every morning with them I need to invest in a air purifier. I go to the doctor in 6 days and I just got off antibodics two weeks ago from chronic sinusitis:/ I still have fluid behind my ears. Wondering if that's drying my eyes out. Hopefully she can figure this all out. But thanks for your advice. It helps!
