Not really sure how this site works still lol.. But wanted to say thank you to everyone who took the time to reply to any of my posts. First we went down the gynae route due to pelvic and back pain. After the laparoscopy found nothing I went to a chiropractor to try and cope with my back pain - he was positive after an examination that the whole pain is coming from my back due to a central disc prolapse. I told him about my digestion issues and leg weakness and he now thinks that it's cauda equina syndrome. I got referred for an urgent MRI and I'm having it tonight. I hope it's the end of all this pain. I will keep you all updated as it may help women who were sent down the gynaecology path as I was for over a year - with no found cause.

Back pain + digestion issues could also be spondyloarthritis. Would be worth having a rheumatology referral I would think, especially if you have signs of inflammatory back pain (google to check the criteria for this)

my blood results are coming back with inflammation but that's it ! I will look it up. had the MRI and will get a response within ten days apparently - so can't have cauda equina otherwise they would have picked it up straight away. so that's a good sign I suppose. by no means do I particularly want there to be anything wrong. but I want justification for all this pain I'm in lol. Thank you for replying x

definitely ask for a rheumatology referral then, if you have inflammation showing on blood tests

Can you tell me what type of pain you got in your pelvis please? I get pelvic pain and have been referred to gynae but have had spine surgery and subsequently had my sacro iliac joints fused but I now have pubic bone pain, so was wondering if this is causing the pain. Many thanks in advance.

I have pain on the left side, a dull ache that will give me shooting pains at some points. it goes all up my back and down my leg. if you imagine a closed fist and then open and close your hand, that's what it kind of feels like in my pelvis hahaha. all that they thought was endo. I've had X-rays and laparascopy but they haven't found anything. I went to a chiropractor and pointed to where it hurts at my back and he said that that's my pelvic bones. still haven't had any definite answer though and most days I can hardly walk.

it does sound like a disc prolapse to me, but I just have to wait and see the results of MRI. it's worth looking into x

That pain sounds familiar to one I used to have a lot of the time and is related (indirectly) to sciatica and nerve compression. Do keep looking at spine causes. Good luck.

yes I have such bad sciatica! I'm just so worried that this MRI is gonna come back normal :( then I won't know where to turn.

sometimes pain is at worst before changes become apparent, so if nothing definite shows up, keepasking and trying. Good luck.

Sweetheart with the back pain and digestion issues sounds like you have Fibromyalgia. I started out with stomach issues and then pain here and there, actually when I was tested I had no idea how many tender points I had. Sadly years later they are widely known. You may also have a bulging disk. I have both and OA, RLS and other health problems. If this is the case going to a pain clinic would really help. Hope your tests shows something as I know all to well how crazy I felt for years without a diagnose. I seem to always get weird things that are hard to diagnose. Sadly I'm going through it again with my esophagus. Hope this helps!!! xxx Mitzi
