70 year old with ET. 1000mg Hydrea nightly. Hoping it doesn't turn into anything worse. Might the Hydrea make that more likely? Have suffered many attacks of ischemic colitis. [e-mail]

Well FINALLY,someone else with ET.(Not that I'm celebrating your illness) I too am on 1000mg Hydroxyurea ,I think it's making me gain weight,oh well. My platelets had risen to 1148,last blood work had them down to 300's.Sorry to hear about the colitis thing. I also have cll and fibromyalgia,makes me sound like a bit of a wreck but am managing just fine,doesn't bother me or worry me. Degenerative back is actually more bothersome......Cat
